Reebok and Marvel Comics have been collaborating on Spider-Man sneakers for a while now, but this upcoming collection is a reminder that in the ten years since Sam Raimi’s first Peter Parker film started the CGI superhero revolution, it was a team-up in The Avengers that made the biggest splash.  The Marvel x Reebok partnership grows stronger thanks to a variety of characters on a mix of familiar and updated silhouettes whose total of ten different drops offers an RBK-penned answer to the highly successful Star Wars x adidas Originals collab.  We’ve already seen detailed images of the Captain America, Wolverine and Chamber styles, so check out the rest of the set after the jump below, let us know which hero’s design is your favorite and stick with Sneaker News for US release info.  via Sneaker Freaker//SC

Sneaker News just showed you how X-Men favorite Wolverine’s spirit will transfer onto the Pump Fury HLS, so it’s fitting that a superhero who’s been around over twice as long would contribute to a more classic silhouette.  The Captain America x Reebok Ventilator is the latest Marvel Comics x RBK release we’ve seen previewed in great detail, everything from the textured leather upper to the sockliner and even hangtags customized in honor of Steve Rogers’ alter-ego.  You can see more of the ‘Captain America’ Ventilators after the jump below, and be sure to let us know how these compare to both the other Marvel Reeboks we’ve seen so far as well as other brands’ comic book collaborations.  Photos: ye-wa

Second in line the get the HLS treatment after the Reebok Insta Pump Fury is the Reebok Ventilator, a sneaker we last saw as part of the Basquiat x Reebok collection. This revamped runner lives up to its name like never before, with the ventilated sections spreading to a greater portion of the sneaker, which is just one of the many upgrades that includes a new sole kit on bottom and a minimalist lacing system. The three out of the gate colorways get some interesting textural treatment, with an elephant print look hitting on the back of 2/3rds of the pack. Collection curator and Reebok Creative Director Swizz Beatz has ensured that the Jean-Michel Basquiat tribu-laboration keeps going strong, and for the latest drop, we see a model that’s been absent in its original form since some of last year’s Basquiat releases.  The Basquiat x Reebok Ventilator resurrects this classic runner in a couple of high contrast colorways that, the Neo-expressionist prodigy’s markings aside, remind us of this silo’s strong mid-’00s run that included what could be seen as one of the earliest Miami-inspired pastel looks from a trend that crested with the LeBron 8 ‘South Beach’.  It’s not art deco at work here, but something just as distinctive, and both colorways are available now at RBK retailers like Millennium Shoes.
