Although the human body has difficulty assimilating energy from the calories in alcohol, the carbohydrate-laden drinks in which its often served and the nutritionally poor choices for munchies many make while imbibing, make drinking and looking fit an almost impossible match. Leave it to a couple of designers at a Singaporean sneaker boutique to crack the code on how to bring fitness and fermentation together, the new Limited Edt x Reebok Workout having been inspired by the Tiger Beer bottle’s aesthetic around the time of the Workout’s 1987 debut. The upper has been enhanced with a gradient that imitates the fizz of carbonation as well as a tiger-striped insole, while the shoe’s colors are a direct match to both the bottle and a special edition box that’s a first for this Workout 25th anniversary capsule. There are still two more pairs to be revealed before the global launch on February 15th, so check out Limited Edt‘s efforts and stick with Sneaker News for more.

We’re coming up on the global launch of the Workout 25th Anniversary next week, so before we get completely engulfed by the NBA All-Star buildup, let’s examine the remaining revelations from this 15-pair super-set. The Kasina x Reebok Workout takes the dignified approach that so many of these understated collabortations have offered, but manages to stand out from a largely sueded pack thanks to the use of a dark tweed upper. This multicolored woolen upper looks fantastic next to walnut brown leather accents and a white sole, but are they better than SNS’ equally clean brown leather look? Click through to examine more images of the Kasina Workout 25 so you can see how these rank against the rest of the capsule, and expect them all at retailers around the globe on February 15th.

The OG Insta Pump Fury debuted in 1993 with one of Reebok’s most memorable colorways, its blend of black, red and Citron among the more distinct even for a period known for its classic looks. The one style that’s arguably more strongly associated with RBK would be their iconic grey-accented white leather CL looks like the original Reebok Workout, and this pair pictured above marks the first time we’ve seen one of its 25th anniversary collaborators utilize such an homage. The Insta Pump Fury by Fullerton, CA’s Beatnic was intended to feature a Pump add-on, but that proved infeasible so the audacious colorway was embellished with welding dots on the toecap and heel counter to suggest pressurized air. Are these the most interesting Workout 25s we’ve seen so far? Stay tuned for the final four revelations and let us know which one’s best when you click through to see more angles of the BTNC edition.

The Reebok Workout’s 25th Anniversary celebration has shown us that this classic trainer can manifest in as many unique personalities as the globally noteworthy boutiques that jumped on board this fairly large collaborative capsule. And while the variety ensures something for everyone, it’s hard to argue that the suede pairs have been among the most impressive. Whether rocking an easily identifyable theme like the mita sneakers-penned workboot look or just going for elegant simplicity as in the case of Packer Shoes’ burgundy build, one could convincingly argue with evidence like the above pictured design that this model best known for its white/grey leather OGs might do its best work in a rougher texture. This Foot Patrol Workout 25 goes with a super-nappy grey suede whose combination with a gum sole is saved from being a simplified microcosm of the past couple years of lifestyle kicks, thanks to the choice of a yellow lace that echoes the tongue tag. The London boutique will see their 25th Anny Workouts drop on February 15th along with the other fourteen collabo designs, so click through to see more from Foot Patrol’s pair and stick with Sneaker News for updates.

One of the overlooked tragedies of living in an advanced technological society such as our own is that it’s sometimes too easy to look at the incredible achievement of scientists and engineers, and think the world is something we’ve already conquered and have completely figured out. A quick thought exercise that can help provide some historical perspective might be to consider the fact that a majority of the produce varietals we’ve come to know and enjoy in the 21st century haven’t just been that way for eons; humans selectively bred them to manifest more of the traits our tastebuds desire. Take for example the carrot, a food you’ve known was orange since Bugs Bunny echoed your cartoonish infant thoughts on a tv screen, but one that as it turns out, was stabilized in Holland in the 17th century after a much longer history of mostly purple existence.
Now with this kind of health food lead-in, the connection to the Reebok Workout’s 25th anniversary is obvious, but it turns out not to be a Dutch boutique offering this tribute to the wild carrot, but instead Sydney, Australia’s Espionage. Their bold wild carrot-inspired Sacramento Kings-style colorup on the Workout utilizes a varitey of textures on this high-contrast colorway that looks like it could have come from the middle of last decade, along with a bold heel embroidery that’s one of the most obvious dual-brands in recent memory. Check these out in greater detail after the jump and let us know how they compare to some of the subtler approaches to the Workout 25, like Packer Shoes or SNS designs. All fifteen Workout collabs will drop on February 15th, so stick with Sneaker News for updates before the worldwide drop.

SneakersNStuff and Solebox are both highly successful European sneaker retailers, but the similarities don’t end there. Both are involved in planning the 25th anniversary celebration for one of Reebok’s best loved classic trainers, and while both opted for brown leather atop white soles, the results are about as different as can be. The SNS x Reebok Workout opts for the simple luxury of premium top grade leather instead of the fishscaled ‘Tialpia’ look Hikmet applied to Solebox’ design, a fact that means you can choose to keep a brown leather look as the anchor to a conservative outfit, or go wild with a deep ocean theme. Click through to see the SNS edition’s elegant build and stick with Sneaker News for more 25th anniversary Workout previews in advance of the February 15th release.

Barcelona’s 24 Kilates isn’t exactly a household name in the United States, but when it comes to cranking out sneaker collaborations with adult beverages included in the package, no other retailer has come remotely close. Their latest effort isn’t inspired by a wine or licquer, but instead offers eyes familiar with this silhouette the kind of surprisingly unique construction that might have you checking your goggles. The 24 Kilates x Reebok Workout joins the 15-store super-collaboration with an unprecedented take on this quarter-century veteran’s colorblocking, a black, green and gum getup that sucks you in with its Gucci-like novelty and keeps you looking with premium materials.
