Richard Hamilton Gives Away Air Jordans In A Challenging Way

air jordan retro give away rip hamilton Richard Hamilton Gives Away Air Jordans In A Challenging Way

How greedy would you get if Richard Hamilton told you that you could carry out as many of his Air Jordan retros as you wanted, just as long as they all fit in your own two hands? That’s the challenge that the former NBA Champion is doling out to some lucky sneakerheads today, as they’re allowed to grab whatever they want from his recent pick ups, but if they drop anything on their way out then everything stays. Pictured here is a pair of the Air Jordan 7 “Hare” as well as yellow and green boxes from what looks to be this weekend’s Air Jordan Brazil Pack along with another 10 or so boxes. While it doesn’t quite look like everything will fit through that front door archway, we commend the effort to grab as many retros as humanly possible. Rip Hamilton Shows Off Latest Air Jordan Pick-Ups

Richard Hamilton is one of a few players left in the NBA active during Michael Jordan’s tenure with the Washington Wizards, and one of only three to have played with him there (winning NCAA and NBA championships is also quite rare).  Rip’s Jumpman connection goes back even further to his days at UConn (and presumably all the way back to Coatesville).  So while it might be a bit easier for him to pull a few strings, he’s still just like us in being proud of new pairs.  Here we see the Chicago sharpshooter showing off two fresh Air Jordan 1 Retro High OGs, the forthcoming ‘Grape’ Vs and a new color of the Retro 1 ’93 that despite photo filters appears to be an orange-laced silvery style.  Hamilton also got playful in matching a slightly older release in the ‘Chicago’ Xs to the Bulls logo, so check out all these shots below and let us know which of these you also copped.

Air Jordan XII – Richard Hamilton ‘Rip City’ PE

May 18th, 2012 by | 9 comments

air jordan xii rip city pe 10 Air Jordan XII Richard Hamilton Rip City PE

It wouldn’t be too presumptuous to state that the Air Jordan XII is the ‘easiest’ to color-block, given the shoe has a rather simplistic build compared to other Air Jordans in the legacy. That’s probably why the Air Jordan XII has such a vast PE library, with this ‘Rip City’ joint just being another on the impressive list; this, of course, was made for one of Jordan Brand’s earliest ambassadors in Richard Hamilton, who cultivated the ‘Rip’ moniker in UConn and later won an NBA Title with the Detroit Pistons in one of the biggest ‘upsets’ in the NBA history. More of Rip’s XII PE after the jump, so take a look and check out the full listing from lo-life_rasta on eBay.

Air Jordan XII PE’s @ Sneaker Con Miami

air jordan xii pe showcase 12 Air Jordan XII PEs @ Sneaker Con Miami

With the Air Jordan XII set for a revival beginning in April, let’s take a look back at some of the rarest Air Jordan XII PEs we’ve ever seen. The Air Jordan XII has been one of the more common PEs around, but when you see them grouped together like these five ‘Home’ white-based pairs, you can’t help but drop your jaw in awe. Spotted at the recent Sneaker Con event in Miami at the SoleFly table was this sick mini-capsule of Air Jordan Player Exclusives – two Ray Allen joints, one for Carmelo Anthony, one for Richard Hamilton, and the last for the retired Michael Finley. All feature the white leather uppers with a secondary color-blocking matching their team uniforms, with the Melo standing out with the partially-white midsole at the forefoot. Think this is the best set of Air Jordan XII PEs? Not so fast: Let us remind you of the sick Air Jordan XII collection of Jay Jones that was featured on Sneaker News almost three years ago. We’ve got a full gallery of images for you below so take a look and let us know what is your fave!

NBA Feet: Richard Hamilton – Air Jordan IV White/Cement

Richard Hamilton’s ties with Jordan Brand can be traced back to his days as the scoring guard for the UConn Huskies – although during those collegiate years, he wasn’t an official representative of the brand. Once he reached the NBA, however, Rip was quickly tapped by JB and has worn some sick Air Jordan and Team Jordan PEs along the way – certainly you’ve seen his Air Jordan PEs featured on Sneaker News from time to time. More recently, Rip’s stuck with Air Jordan Retros, like the upcoming Air Jordan IV White/Cement; the shoes dont’ drop until a few days after Valentine’s Day, but it’s no surprise that the Bulls guard has ‘em early. Is it strange to see the Air Jordan IV White/Cement back on the United Center floor? Check out Rip’s kicks below and let us know what you think. via ESPN.
