Netherlands-based brewery Heineken hosted its Heineken Inspire event in New York City this past weekend at the St. John’s Center Studio, featuring celebrity guests DJ Wale, J.Cole, Rick Ross, and DJ D-Nice. This is the second time that Wale has attended and performed at a Heineken Inspire event – the first of such occurences being in Atlanta with Fabolous a few months ago. This time around Wale tweeted that “it’s only right…all my sneaker heads know” as he broke out a pair of crispy Nike SB Heineken Dunk Low’s during his performance. J.Cole showed up to the event wearing a pair of Nike 6.0 Oncore High’s, while Rick Ross featured a pair of the recently released Air Jordan II Retro’s in the original White, Black, and Varsity Red colorway.

Rick Ross celebrated the release of his fourth studio album, Teflon Don, with a release party that was held at King of Diamonds in Miami, Florida on Tuesday, July 20th. A number of Ross’ closest friends and rappers attended the party, including Gucci Mane, Trina, DJ Khaled, and more. Khaled whose been working with Ross since his first studio album, showed up to the party wearing a Teflon Don t-shirt in Black and Red and matched his tee with a pair of the recently released “Stealth “Air Jordan Spiz’ike’s. While Khaled may not have shown up to the party in a helicopter like Ross, his kicks were definitely the better of the two larger than life hip-hop stars.

Rick Ross’ next album will be released in the next few days and while a number of fans eagerly await the Boss’ newest album, Teflon Don, which some critics are already calling one of the best albums of the year, Complex.com decided to feature the Boss as the latest celebrity from their “Greatest Footwear Moments” feature. The 2010 VH1 Hip-Hop Honors Show set out to honor the Dirty South and some of the pioneers of Hip-Hop music including the legendary 2 Live Crew. A number of today’s biggest and brightest artists united on stage to perform various songs honoring the artists and music of the Dirty South. Performers included Drake, Fabolous, Rick Ross, Nelly, The Game, Diddy, Jermaine Dupri, Bow Wow, Bun B, and lot more. Considering this was a Hip-Hop Honors Show it goes without saying that there was a lot of sneaker heat in the building including Drake’s Air Jordan III’s in the “Do the Right Thing” colorway, Fabolous wore his White and Varsity Red Air Jordan VI’s, Rick Ross switched it up between a couple of different Air Jordan 1′s including the Urban Haze colorway of the Air Jordan 1 Retro High Premier and the recently release AJ1 KO’s in White and Varsity Red, Nelly was seen with a pair of the Air Jordan IX Premio “Bin 23″ Retro’s, The Game had on a pair of the Air Jordan VI’s in the “Oreo” colorway, and Diddy and Bow Wow were both spotted rocking White and Navy colorways of the Nike Air Trainer SC to match their New York Yankees apparel. This past Sunday at the Meadowlands Sports Complex, New York’s Hot 97 hosted it’s annual Summer Jam concert and this year included a number of acts including Drake, Rick Ross, Trey Songz, Usher, DJ Khaled, Fabolous, Cam’Ron, Nicki Minaj, Juelz Santana and more. While the number of Air Jordan’s that were spotted in the building weren’t nearly as many as the 2010 VH1 Hip-Hop Honors Show, there was still plenty of heat in the arena including Drake’s “Black Cat” Air Jordan III Retro’s. Trey Songz was spotted with a pair of Supra Skytop 2′s in Black and White. Rick Ross appears to have been wearing the Doernbecher Air Jordan VI Retro’s. Hot 97 personality Peter Rosenberg kept it classic with a pair of the OG Air Max 1′s in White and Varsity Blue. Check out what everyone else was wearing after the jump…
