Ronnie Fieg has proven himself a superior choice for guest designing classic suede and mesh runners in recent years, and the Kith headman displays an unabashed bias in favor of reds/pinks, greys, and of course, blues. Fieg’s latest work is a model known for its own range of grey and blue designs and is heavy on the latter, as we see in our first full-on view of the Ronnie Fieg x New Balance 1300. A fresh look for this silo RF sampled for his ‘Steel Blue’ 999s earlier this year, these have a sort of ‘Un-Neptune’ look about them thanks to aqua accents on a navy field, along with what looks like a white/gum sole setup. Let us know how you feel now that we can see this shoe but not 100% of its details and stick with Sneaker News for more updates on the latest Fieg throwbacks.

It’s an easier observation to note that Ronnie Fieg loves him some old school suede runners, but when you look closer, you realize his most significant contribution is adding extra attention to relatively obscure masterpieces. And the quality has arguably never been higher than on his latest tag team effort, this one reaching far outside the sneakerhead mainstream to pull in Italian shoemakers Del Toro for two each of their timeless Alto Chukka midtops and Basso Wingtop lows. An interesting mix of suede and pony hair along with animal prints ranging from tiger to leopard and a little ‘Cow Camo’ for good measure. Each pair retails for a fairly steep $340, so if more images below suggest the luxurious quality and exclusivity is worth the price, be ready when they go on sale at Kith in Manhattan and online tomorrow at 11am EST.

Ronnie Fieg’s made his impression on the athletic sneaker game with his Asics collaborations of the last few years, and the success of his recent release of the New Balance ‘Steel Blue’ suggests that perhaps Fieg should spread his wings. It looks like he’s well aware of the reach he may potentially have, as he teases his Twitter following with not one, but two sneaker collaborations that are coming soon; the first is seen with this Puma model (based on the apparent absence of laces, perhaps its the Disc Blaze that’ll get the treatment), while another New Balance ‘Made in USA’ is indeed confirmed for Fall 2012. You can count on Sneaker News to keep you on top of all of Ronnie Fieg’s upcoming projects, so check out some of his teasers below.

The next chapter in Ronnie Fieg x Asics continues tomorrow morning as the beach-ready Neptune Blue colorway of the Gel Saga releases at KITH chapter stores and online. Once again, the fine materials are what shine through in this grand composition of blue tones, but swap out the laces with any of the three that come with the shoes to make ‘em even more distinct. Alongside the kicks will be the Kith-exclusive bundle pack, which includes the beach duffle and ‘Just Us’ snapback ($150 for shoes, $220 for entire bundle). If you missed out on last Friday’s KithStrike, tomorrow will be your last and only shot to cop these at retail!

Ronnie Fieg is at it again with his latest Asics project, dropping a handful of pairs today in ‘Kithstrike’ fashion (with a link tweeted out via Kith) before any real release info has even emerged. The Asics Gel Saga ‘Neptune’ was of course gone in a flash, but if you missed out there’s still something to take away-namely the first good look we’ve gotten at the sneaker. Along with the watery blue colorway the sneakers also feature the slick detail of rounded off laces, a first for Ronnie’s Asics output. Click through with us to get the first full look at the Ronnie Fieg x Asics Gel Saga ‘Neptune’ and stay tuned with Sneaker News for word on release info when these become a bit more widely available.

The New York Knicks palette is one that has been seen a limitless number of times in the sneaker game, albeit with the majority of the instances falling in the Swoosh category, with adidas and even the Ewing line also putting their two cents in previously. One brand that hasn’t had its hands on the orange and royal at any point in recent memory is Asics. Frequent collaborator Ronnie Fieg looked to fix things with the sample, an awesome Knicks colored pair that is a 1 of 1 for the time being. Would you scoop up a pair of the Ronnie Fieg x Asics Gel Saga “Knicks” (which actually popped up around a year ago as a teaser) if they made their way into KITH spots at some point in the future?
