We’re still waiting on release details for the ‘Pink Devil’ edition, but already it appears that Berlin’s Solebox has jumped on board with Saucony for another collaboration on Hikmet’s favorite silo. These as yet un-nicknamed Solebox x Saucony Shadow 5000s bring together three brightly-colored, grey-accented pairs with the same colorblocking and material distribution, a trio sure to turn heads and earn nods of admiration from sneakerheads who know to expect anything Solebox does to be extremely limited. The most recent collaborative release issued by German sneaker boutique Solebox was a trio of Saucony Shadow 5000s dubbed the ‘Three Brothers Pack’ for their use of similar colors across different blocking patterns. Hikmet and company have been doing stuff like this for years, the exuberant accent shade on this latest duo conjuring images of the ‘Purple Devil’ trio they released with New Balance over five years ago. The Solebox x Saucony Shadow 5000 ’Pink Devil’ adds a bit of pink to the otherwise ‘standard’ black/grey/white mix for a slightly more eye-catching take on ‘evil’ than the typical bred fare. And with Halloween right around the corner, it’d make sense to get these out before October’s over; will they release in Solebox’ typically frustratingly limited numbers? Their collaborations with Boston’s Bodega on the Elite collection stand out as the brand’s finest work in recent years, but as we’ve seen over the past few weeks, Saucony doesn’t limit themselves to teaming up with their Massachusetts neighbors. On the heels of collabo designs courtesy of Russia’s Anteater and Amsterdam’s 8 comes the Solebox x Saucony Shadow 5000 ‘Three Brothers’ Pack. A trio of three-toned designs each offers its own take on how to block black, grey and blue with every one of them opting for the balance of a white midsole. As is the case with all of the Berlin boutique’s teamup releases, these Solebox x Saucony Shadow 5000s are limited to the insanely low number of 95, so get ready to pay a premium to resellers if you miss your chance to grab these at Solebox on Saturday, September 24th. via HS

In 2008, Berlin-based sneaker boutique Solebox released a Saucony Jazz collaboration that did well enough that the following year brought two more tag-team efforts. One was a release, the other a preview that stretched into ’10 to join a duo of adidas ‘Then and Now’ Packs. The Sock-a-knee edition by that same name featured the Shadow 6000, a model whose prequel represents their latest collabo, the Solebox x Saucony Shadow 5000. Here we see the classic runner done up in three similar colorways, all featuring a healthy portion of royal blue, charcoal grey and black used in different sections of the shoe.
