Sneaker Con is ready to ring in the New Year by kicking off its 2013 tour in Atlanta, GA for a first-ever showing in the Southern city. Following an incredibly successful stop in Charlotte, NC, Sneaker Con aims to bring the best sneaker event in the nation to the ATL, bringing together the immense sneaker community for an outstanding event on January 5th. If you’re in the ATL area and are willing to make the trip, mark your calendars for Saturday January 5, 2013 at the YMCA Atlanta! Also, stay tuned for more Sneaker Con dates in 2013 as another date in Miami is confirmed for early February.

Earlier today Sneaker News showed you a nice recap of Sneaker Con’s first-ever stop in the Queen City (or Charlotte, NC). The Grady Cole Center was packed from wall to wall with some incredible feet touching the floor, and based on this intense recap, we could already tell that Nike Basketball iD designs were a popular choice. 2012 was a great year for Sneaker Con, making stops at the biggest sneaker hot-spots across the nation. Sneakerheads in New York City, Los Angeles, Washington D.C., and Miami all represented their respective cities perfectly, with a wide collection of vendors and patrons blending unique sneaker tastes while bringing forward some of the most coveted kicks on the market. Sneaker Con closed out 2012 with one final year-end stop in Charlotte, NC at the Grady Cole Center, and it was business as usual; tons of heat, countless visitors, and another successful notch on the Sneaker Con belts. Sneaker Con returned to New York City this Saturday, opening its doors in the massive Basketball City venue in Pier 36. Situated in an iconic area of New York City history, Sneaker Con set up its biggest shop right by the East River, welcoming droves of sneaker-crazed patrons and a laundry-list of vendors showing off their personal collections, new innovations, and other goodies. Champion, New Era, and HOT 97 came through, while adidas Originals set up a sick showcase to preview the Big Sean ‘Detroit Player’ shoe, the Packer x adidas Conductor, and some new Rose 3 joints. As usual, Sneaker Con NYC was a massive success, and whether you’re a hardcore collector, a newbie into the game, or just a fanatic of anything about street culture, Sneaker Con was certainly the place to be. Sneaker Con is back at its hometown tomorrow, and it’s going to be bigger than ever! Moving the event to the historic Basketball City at Pier 36, this Sneaker Con is poised to blow out previous records as it shapes up to be the most celebrated sneaker event of the year. With so many hot sneakers releasing in the next six weeks, you might as well try to cop them early or sell off some of your kicks to get some cash, but if you want to check it out just for a nice day-time activity and meet and greet Iman Shumpert of the Knicks, come through! Online ticket pre-sales are sold out, so be sure to arrive early as tickets will be available at the door!
