This past Saturday will go down as one of the biggest sneaker release days ever, and our Sneaker News Blogs: WDYWT regulars certainly came through with their latest pick-ups. But what makes the Sneaker News Blogs: Best of WDYWT? Sure, new releases are nice, but our readers like to impress with some OG heat, rare kicks, and upcoming releases – and there’s plenty of that below. The Zoom KD IV ‘All-Star’, and the Electrolime Foamposite are just some what you’ll find below, but don’t forget the OG Bred XI, the LeBron 9 ‘Nerf’ custom, and two of the sickest Dunks of the first half of the 00′s. It was another week of hot sneakers from Sneaker News Blogs: Best of WDYWT, and even with Superbowl XLVI keeping people at home in their living rooms or at local bars, the onslaught of on-feet fire didn’t miss a beat. A few readers got their hands on the Nike Basketball Black History Month 2012 Collection, while a pair of brothers rocked the Air Force 1 and Air Jordan III from last year’s BHM Collection. We also got a look at some great Retros, like the French Blue XII, Black Laser IV, and some nice low-top gems, and even an OG Air Jordan from ’93 made its way to this exclusive list. Sneaker News WDYWTers will close out the month of January with one of the best collection of Top 20s we’ve seen in quite a while – the group of submissions that missed the cut would compete thoroughly with any other week! Just to give you a taste of what’s below; not one, but TWO pairs of ’94 Retro Air Jordans, some Air Force 1 Bespokes, a pair of Kobe’s from the pre-Nike era, some Air Jordans that have yet to release, and a pair of Nike Basketball GRs from’05 that still get mentioned in discussions today. Did any of you catch David Diehl’s Air Jordan IV PEs that were on-field during the NFC Championship game? Those would’ve definitely cracked any Top 20 WDYWT list, but unfortunately for David, he didn’t submit them into Sneaker News Blogs: WDYWT! This week’s twenty best is still solid from front to back, with sightings of the UNDFTD x Air Jordan IV, an OG pair of the Air Jordan X Powder Blue, plenty of Nike SBs, and one OG Nike Basketball shoe that allowed you to customize your kicks via a removable mid-foot strap. What makes Sneaker News Blogs: WDYWT so great is that Sneaker News readers love to get their hands on sneakers ahead of release dates! We always show some hot upcoming releases when they pop up a few weeks (or months) in advance, but this week is particularly special because we’ve got the LeBron 8 ‘Big Bang’, Zoom KD IV ‘China’, Air Jordan 2012 ‘UNC’, and Air Foamposite One ‘Electrolime’ part of the Top 20 line-up. But just as we go into the future, we also take a trip to the past, because on sneakerhead in South Korea (by way of Vancouver) spiced things up with an OG pair of the Nike Air Max 1. This past week included some major events – the Christmas Holiday weekend and the release of the Air Jordan XI Concord (a ton of you posted your new Concords on WDYWT). Some of you sported your holiday gift pick-ups, like the trio of the Nike Basketball Christmas 2011 Pack, but there was still a nice list of 20 kicks that made it into this week’s Sneaker News Blogs: Best of WDYWT; the Hyperdunk McFly, a sick duo of Christmas-inspired Nike iDs, some OG Concords, and some Nike Basketball gems from the 90′s made up this great list, so take a look at all 20 below and we’ll see you next year!

We’d like to apologize for the delay in the Best of WDYWT for the last week, as a technical issue caused us to postpone the Monday night feature for one night. But we’re back in full force, strengthened by the sick submissions by our loyal readers, who continue to surprise us with great variety and deep collections. The winner of the Sneaker News Blogs: Best of WDYWT could be swayed by topical influences. After the release of the Black/Cement III on Black Friday, Sneaker News readers voted for the Air Jordan III Black/Cement from 2001 as the best of the week, beating out the Kanye West x Louis Vuitton Jasper and second runner-up ‘Red Lobster’ SB Dunks. This week offers another nice selection of sneakers, but the variety will might have you stumped. Upcoming Zoom Rookies, Air Jordan OGs, Air Jordan Retros from ’94, tons of collaborations, and some great LeBron iDs consist of this week’s Top 20, so give them a quick look and vote for a new winner this week! Hope all of you copped some sick kicks over Holiday Weekend! Sneaker News presents this week’s Top 20 from Sneaker News Blogs: WDYWT, and you’re definitely in for a real treat. Starting off, one of the rarest Dunks (Deftones!) out there made an appearance, as did a nice collection of Kobe VI colorways worn on consecutive days. Some Air Jordan VI cleats (for some flag-football) were noted, as was a Knicks-inspired colorway of the LeBron 9 iD. Two pairs of the UNDFTD x Air Jordan IV, OG Air Diamond Turf 2s, tons of great Air Max collaborations like DQM, Opium, and Dave White, OG Air Jordan 1s, a mini-showcase of Air Jordan Doernbechers – it’s sneaker heaven right below.
