This past Saturday will go down as one of the biggest sneaker release days ever, and our Sneaker News Blogs: WDYWT regulars certainly came through with their latest pick-ups. But what makes the Sneaker News Blogs: Best of WDYWT? Sure, new releases are nice, but our readers like to impress with some OG heat, rare kicks, and upcoming releases – and there’s plenty of that below. The Zoom KD IV ‘All-Star’, and the Electrolime Foamposite are just some what you’ll find below, but don’t forget the OG Bred XI, the LeBron 9 ‘Nerf’ custom, and two of the sickest Dunks of the first half of the 00′s. It was another week of hot sneakers from Sneaker News Blogs: Best of WDYWT, and even with Superbowl XLVI keeping people at home in their living rooms or at local bars, the onslaught of on-feet fire didn’t miss a beat. A few readers got their hands on the Nike Basketball Black History Month 2012 Collection, while a pair of brothers rocked the Air Force 1 and Air Jordan III from last year’s BHM Collection. We also got a look at some great Retros, like the French Blue XII, Black Laser IV, and some nice low-top gems, and even an OG Air Jordan from ’93 made its way to this exclusive list. Sneaker News WDYWTers will close out the month of January with one of the best collection of Top 20s we’ve seen in quite a while – the group of submissions that missed the cut would compete thoroughly with any other week! Just to give you a taste of what’s below; not one, but TWO pairs of ’94 Retro Air Jordans, some Air Force 1 Bespokes, a pair of Kobe’s from the pre-Nike era, some Air Jordans that have yet to release, and a pair of Nike Basketball GRs from’05 that still get mentioned in discussions today. Did any of you catch David Diehl’s Air Jordan IV PEs that were on-field during the NFC Championship game? Those would’ve definitely cracked any Top 20 WDYWT list, but unfortunately for David, he didn’t submit them into Sneaker News Blogs: WDYWT! What makes Sneaker News Blogs: WDYWT so great is that Sneaker News readers love to get their hands on sneakers ahead of release dates! We always show some hot upcoming releases when they pop up a few weeks (or months) in advance, but this week is particularly special because we’ve got the LeBron 8 ‘Big Bang’, Zoom KD IV ‘China’, Air Jordan 2012 ‘UNC’, and Air Foamposite One ‘Electrolime’ part of the Top 20 line-up. But just as we go into the future, we also take a trip to the past, because on sneakerhead in South Korea (by way of Vancouver) spiced things up with an OG pair of the Nike Air Max 1. This past week included some major events – the Christmas Holiday weekend and the release of the Air Jordan XI Concord (a ton of you posted your new Concords on WDYWT).
