The Puma Shadow Society is one of the more interesting recent concepts in collaborative design, but its very nature precludes the participants from taking credit for the designs. They’ve given us several top-notch drops on the iconic silhouette pictured above, but that particular one is coming up in conjunction with a boutique that’s among the world’s most identifiable. And if they hold true to form, the Solebox x Puma States (a re-branded Suede lowtop) is going to be one hard pair to get your hands on. They’re crafted in a nappy grey suede whose simple pairing with white keeps them in step with today’s styles, but how do they compare with the GoreTex-equipped ‘Outdoor’ States the Shadow Society put out last December? Let us know on the other side and stick with Sneaker News for release info on the Solebox x Puma State collaboration.

We’re still waiting on release details for the ‘Pink Devil’ edition, but already it appears that Berlin’s Solebox has jumped on board with Saucony for another collaboration on Hikmet’s favorite silo. These as yet un-nicknamed Solebox x Saucony Shadow 5000s bring together three brightly-colored, grey-accented pairs with the same colorblocking and material distribution, a trio sure to turn heads and earn nods of admiration from sneakerheads who know to expect anything Solebox does to be extremely limited. Check these out in greater detail below and stick with Sneaker News for release info on all of the Solebox x Saucony Shadow 5000s.

Solebox unleashed the best light-up sneaker of 2011 not named ‘Nike Mag’ last March and they’ve got a sequel in store for spring. The Solebox x Reebok Omni Pump Zone reprises a design first seen just under a year ago, this new model switching out the orange accents for an electric green that gets you thinking how many other different colors could make for an equally awesome design. We don’t know yet if this will be an annual highlight but Solebox and RBK do have a well documented relationship and we’ve got more images of their latest after the jump below.

While they’re not exactly setting the pace for collaborations like their breakneck stretch in 2009, it’s undeniable that Solebox is causing a stir once again in early 2012. While their peers in the Reebok Workout 25th Anniversary capsule have largely kept to familiar themes, Solebox’ Hikmet Sugoer went out on a limb with his ‘Tilapia’ design, and don’t you dare forget about the role Solebox played in resurrecting the silhouette pictured above (and really, the entire Asics brand, in the context of the sneakerhead set). That’s when they droped a UV-color-changing Solebox x Asics Gel Lyte III whose release foreshadowed both the rise of grey sneakers as well as the super-limited collabs that followed in the next year or so. This new pair utilizes a similar though slightly simpler colorblocking pattern on a black base, but the reference to 08′s trendsetting tonal grey design also reminds us that not only is this pair equipped with multiple pairs of laces, but there’s also a grey edition on the way sometime this year (along with what look to be Gel Sagas in both styles). When will we see the Asics x Solebox 2012 release dates? Stick with Sneaker News for updates and let us know if the blue ones outdo the citrus laces we’d seen earlier.

Remember back in 2011 when Solebox let go a few snapshots from an upcoming Asics collaboration? Gel heads have been eagerly awaiting for word on their release since then, and while they aren’t ready to drop any info just yet, we do have another sneak peek from the Solebox team. A top down view of the black Asics Gel Lyte III first shown here, this new photo reveals an interesting detail unbeknownst to readers before in the form of the loud orange laces. Will both the grey and black sets hit retail when it all goes down? Stick with Sneaker News to find out and hit the jump for some extra shots of the upcoming Solebox x Asics Gel Lyte III collaboration.

Come February 15th, we’ll be absolutely buried in collaborative releases of the Reebok Workout Plus. In celebration of this silhouette’s 25th birthday, Reebok has linked up with 15 retailers around the globe, each of whom are giving their own spin on this key Reebok model from the pre-Pump era. Of course we’ve yet to see the collection in its entirety, but one of the standouts early on is the Solebox version with its fishy Tilapia look. The burnt brown of the scaly upper gives them a bit of a luxury look, an aesthetic is certainly aided by the premium materials in place. Follow us after the jump for a gang of up close photos as well as a video preview with some more background on the sneaker, and stick with us for the rest of the range from the Reebok Workout 25th Anniversary celebration. via ITSB

In mid-late November, Sneaker News revealed to you the collaborative project between Berlin-based Solebox and Asics called the ‘Gel Pack’. We gave you a quick teaser preview of a Black/Blue colorway of the Gel Saga and Gel Lyte III, and it appears that there may be a release of a Light Grey colorway as well. The Gel Lyte III features the solebox logo molded into the blue suede panel on the heel, but no such distinction appears on the Gel Saga, unless it appears on the upper like the previous light-sensitive Solebox x Asics Gel Lyte III’ of 2008. Let us know in the comments if you prefer the light grey over the black (or possibly vice-versa) and stick with Sneaker News for more updates as it develops.

Few boutiques on the European sneaker scene command the same level of respect as Solebox. This Berlin based sneaker spot has long been the source of killer collaborations and by the looks of the teaser we’ve got here, a project with Asics is in the works. On the left we’ve got an Asics Gel Lyte III, the red hot model that just keeps gaining momentum thanks to high profile releases from the likes of Ronnie Fieg. On the right appears to the Asics Gel Saga II, a lesser known silhouette that saw a re-release in OG form this year and has also been scooped up by Patta for an upcoming release. Stick with us for more news on the Solebox x Asics project and let us know if you’re feeling this first look.
