Hip-hop veteran Prodigy’s collaboration with Supra becomes less and less of a ‘Quiet Storm’ as the days go by, as two new styles influenced by Mobb Deep’s early days arrive the same week the first pair was previewed. He noted that “The inspiration for the color because back in the day [Mobb Deep's] thing was to wear a lot of camouflage,” and this rugged style translates well to a couple of Supra’s modern silhouettes. The ‘Infamous’ Supra Backwoods rock a greyscale suede camo with ballistic nylon hits, a similar material combo to the earthier Bandit we previewed yesterday, and both are available now straight from Supra (but act fast because some of the more popular Bandit sizes are already sold out).

Few active rappers can boast of the resume and street cred owned by Mobb Deep co-founder Prodigy, a twenty-year veteran responsible for some memorably menacing music. Sneaker News reported in late October that the H.N.I.C. has joined up with Supra and today we have our first look at the product forthcoming from this collaboration. This Mobb Deep x Supra Bandit features an appropriately rugged camouflage ballistic nylon (almost unthinkable we hadn’t seen that combination to date) with Tom Penny’s masked tongue tag insignia finishing things with just a hint of danger (bandanas on both the head and mouth because, of course, ain’t no such thing as halfway crooks). Stick with Sneaker News for more Prodigy x Mobb Deep news and check out these Prodigy Tom Pennys below in the meantime.

It’s been a while since Sneaker News profiled a new Tom Penny signature release from Supra, and this new drop is similar to the last in that we can see more of the Air Jordan Legacy’s immense influence. Two new Supra Bandit midtops come in dark colorways that are something like the Air Jordan 9 ‘Olive’ split into a duo of black two-toned styles, one an earthy fall shoo-in, the other a suede bred can’t-miss. Let us know which one you like better after you check out both of them in detail after the jump, then grab yours straight from Supra.

Although the Air Jordan XI ‘Cool Grey’ influence cannot be understated, the most primary reason that grey sneakers are so popular right now is that they confer to the wearer immense advantages when it comes to selecting an outfit. The same can be said of designing a mostly grey sneaker, as the blank tones can be pushed in any number of directions, all while blending into the finished product more effortlessly than black or white. These two new Supra Bandit releases are a good example of the kind of range you can get out there today: an Express TUF joint that evokes CG memories, or a lighter suede drop whose black laces and burgundy accents are reminiscent of the interior of a fine luxury automobile. Both of these new Tom Penny signatures are yours for the taking from Supra, so click through to see which one’s your favorite.

Tom Penny’s signature model played a prominent role in Supra’s huge run of packs this summer, so what can we expect from the Supra Bandit for the rest of 2011? Here are three new Bandits that each use no more than three colors each, yet end up looking quite distinct from one another. There’s a red ‘canvas’ TUF edition with a white sole, brown Gunny TUF that uses the same colorblocking pattern to a different end thanks to black on the sole and tongue tag, and finally, a black suede edition whose yellow woolen accents make these more or less the opposite of the ‘Black & Yellow’ edition released in commemoration of the Boston Bruins’ Stanley Cup victory. Click through to see all three, let us know which one is the winner in your opinion, and look for these now at select Supra retailers.

Supra is clearly big on the number 3, but how many times they plan to replicate it across different combinations of their various skate-centric offerings remains to be seen. This is now the second two-toned pack we’ve seen from the crown brand this week, though we’ll give them credit for dubbing this set the ‘Two Blue Trio’ rather than just another ‘pack’. You can choose from the Supra Bandit, Bullet or Stacks in navy suede with royal canvas and a white sole, so click through to see more images and then snatch up a pair or three from Supra.

Supra’s TUF material has proven itself among the skateboarding world’s most abrasive-resistant synthetics, a strong technical feature many other young footwear brands simply cannot match. And the crown brand has taken it up another notch with their latest power trio, ‘TUF Pack’ editions of the Supra Society Mid, Bandit and Antuwan Dixon each exhibiting a textured grid pattern on their upper that has these looking like grated steel. They’re almost as unbreakable and should be at your local Supra stockist right now.

The saying “That’s why you play the game” suggests that you need to have a contest to determine who’s really the best, but you could have seen the result of last Wednesday’s 2011 Stanley Cup Finals Game 7 coming from a mile away. Or from seventeen years away (in which case, you’d cover about one foot per day to complete the trek), which was the last time Vancouver was engulfed in rioting following a Game 7 loss. And with the Cup being captured by yet another team wearing black and yellow this year, it’s yet more of the same thing, but with a twist. Kinda like the Supra Bandits and Stacks done in the Boston Bruins high-contrast colorway to form the ‘Black & Yellow’ Pack. Click through for a closer look at these suede and leather special edition skate sneakers and look for them at your local Supra dealer soon.
