Erik Ellington played a role in the presentation of the Deathwish co-signed Pistol debut, but what about his latest Supra signature model? The Supra Ellington had been quiet for a while there, but now we have a couple new colorways for spring. This Air Jordan IV-inspired skate lowtop has a bit of J-Pack flare with the royal blue suede adding white and black accents, while a second pair features a blacked out upper with perfed nubuck side panels in place of the AJ4-ish netting. Let us know which you prefer after viewing both below, then grab yours straight from Supra.

Erik Ellington’s latest Supra signature is the latest in a long line of skate sneakers borrowing from the Air Jordan Legacy. It’s Ellington’s second, after his Avenger set the stage for a wholesale Air Jordan IV tribute, and now EE gets a bit of distance between himself and United Center with a couple of decidedly un Bulls-y colorways. The first new Supra Ellington mixes navy suede and canvas with a white/gum sole setup while a second pair opts for the black plus crackled gold look we’ve seen the Crown brand utilize on a few different models. Both are available now direct from Supra and you can see more images of each below.

From one of the Crown brand’s founding riders to one of its young guns, the Supra Pro+Am collection brings forth a new release designed by one of skateboarding’s promising talents. The Supra Ellington is the second Pro+Am drop after Kevin Romar’s TK Stacks, and this time we see Canadian up-and-comer Spencer Hamilton opt for a more ostentatious approach combining black with blaze orange accents. It’s seasonally appropriate both for hunting and Halloween and you’ll find them available now straight from Supra.

Erik Ellington is best known as one of Supra’s founding riders, and along with guys like Chad Muska and Jim Greco, he’ll go down in history next to names like Jon Buscemi and Nigo for recognizing a certain aspect of footwear evolution. EE made waves with the extent to which his earlier Avenger lowtop borrowed from the Air Jordan IV, and that practice of seeing modern classics as foundational to the new school of sneaker design is again apparent in the new Supra Ellington. The Ellington reads something like an Avenger 1.5, but eschews visible cushioning a la Tinker Hatfield, instead opting for the concealed SUPRAFOAM we’ve come to expect from the Crown brand. A Chicago-style colorup offers a tribute to the most influential man and signature sneaker series in history while a black/neon design keeps with one of today’s hottest trends, and you’ll find both available now straight from Supra.
