Supra continues to show increased effort and attention for womens footwear, as for the third time in four weeks, we see a new pair crafted just for the ladies. This new Supra Skytop III ‘Glitter Canvas’ is exactly what it purports to be: a black canvas upper featuring starry speckles throughout, atop a crisp white sole. Owing to the combination of regal appeal and high-contrast boldness, Supra utilizes the palette commonly connected to the Sacramento Kings at a higher rate than most brands. The last three such instances have all either been pro models or tagged with someone’s surname and while that’s not the case on the latest Supra Skytop III, Chad Muska will no doubt be pleased with the result. The fact that Tom Brady drives an Audi A8 but endorses the new Dodge Dart isn’t a fitting analogy to this latest release from Supra, but it does show how attaching his name to something is sure to draw a bit of extra attention. In the case of the Supra Skytop III ‘Brady’, that curiosity slides into wondering where the moniker came from, because this style would naturally link up with the classic Chicago Bulls look. So while Supra’s latest nickname ends up in the category with other puzzling subtitles, the straightforward dopeness of its marbled canvas upper and doubly-speckled midsole will still attract plenty of shoppers who’ll find them available now straight from Supra.

Supra debuted the Owen Mid last month with a contrasting couple of colorways. On one hand we had a simple black build with select white hits, and on the other, a bold blacklight style with ‘Joker’/'Night Vision’ overtones that was dubbed the ‘Clampett’. Also standing out like a swamp-bred family in the heart of Beverly Hills is one of three new Supra Skytop IIIs, which happens to be joined by a simple black Block-Stitch TUF design and another relatively subdued nod to the Chicago Bulls.
