SUPRA SKYTOP The Supra Skytop is one of the most popular models within the Supra catalog, its name indicating the extreme height of the sneaker. The style has been successful both as a skate shoe and as a lifestyle sneaker, thanks in part to the endless pack themed colorways produced for this model by the Supra team.

Supra has made 2011 their ‘year of packs’, and back in early November, the Crown brand unleashed a duo of Supra Skytops in a material that named its drop. The ‘Canvas TUF’ pack featured red and navy blue pairs riding white soles, constructed in the abrasion-resistant material that has come around again just in time for the holidays, only, under a different banner. These new grey and black Skytops are said to come in ‘Express TUF’ as if that’s another application entirely, but a quick look at the website from the store to whom these new pairs or exclusives, reveals that they’d also given the ‘Express’ label to last month’s ‘Canvas’ pack. So whether they’re exactly the same or a subtle variation, these simple yet satisfying Skytops are yours from the taking, and they’re avaialble exclusively at Zumiez.

2011 was a big year for Supra, launching its Skytop III flagship, opening their New York retail spot and issuing more color-themed packs than anyone this side of Dustin Hoffman could remember. And with just a couple short weeks left before New Year’s, the Crown brand is looking to celebrate the holidays and the calendar they culminate with the biggest Skytop release yet. The Supra Skytop ‘Stomper’ is indeed the biggest one we’ve ever seen, and we mean that literally because the all-white sidewalls on these black suede Skytops are extended beyond their normal range to create a high contrast look that appears excellent at crushing obsticles in your path. A mere 413 pairs have been created and they’ll be available on December 24th at Supra‘s e-store and a select list of retailers you’ll see along with additional images after the jump.

The endless supply of packs from the fine folks at Supra have done a good job making sure fans of the crown brand have no shortage of choices for both color combos and materials. The Supra Wet Pack lands in the latter category, dropping a trio of sneakers that boast Neoprene construction with the SUPRATUF technology finish. The resulting footwear should keep your feet anything but ‘wet’, but you get the point. The colorway actually matches well with the gloomy weather that you’re trying to avoid, with a cloudy palette of greys that gets some blue treatment here and there. The drop includes a Supra Dixon, Supra Skytop, and Supra Society-all of which can be seen in greater detail after the jump.

Just because a sneaker is crafted in a ‘hunter’ colorway, doesn’t mean the rare materials of which it’s constructed must necessarily come from some kind of crazy big game. That goes double for the new Supra Kidskin Pack, a duo consisting of Supra Skytops I and III in a camel-colored kidskin with black on the soles and side panels plus select blaze orange accents. The upper material comes from young goats and is known for its supremely supple texture, so don’t expect these to have the same durability as Supra’s TUF releases, but looking good is a target they can hit from 50 meters. Check out both pairs in greater detail after the jump and get yours from Factory 413.

Sneakerhead historians will look back on the first decade of this millennium and note that while the Nike Air Yeezy had easily the highest profile, when it came to the resurrection of hightop sneakers as the peak of fashion, few if any can rival the impact made by the Supra Skytop. Chad Muska’s Pro Model is back in two colorways simple enough to let you enjoy its now familiar lines, these ‘Canvas’ TUF Skytops adding white text to the tongues of otherwise all-red and navy designs. Together they’re like one of the many holiday and flag-themed releases we saw from Supra this summer; are these sufficiently fresh to warrant another patriot-looking pack? Click through to see more and look for these now at select Supra stockists.

If you see these and feel like they’re the first camouflaged Supra Skytops ever released . . . how can we put this nicely? Well, we still love you, but you’re wrong. Don’t take it too hard, though, because the first and only other camo Skytops were released all the way back in January of 2008 when Supra and their groundbreaking aesthetics were barely a blip on the sneaker scene’s radar. And as for detecting things in the nearby surroundings, these classically styled four-tone camo canvas hightops are sure not to blend in, especially if you can find a way to make that blaze orange tongue lining show through. Click through for a list of the select few Supra retailers who’ll have a portion of the 413-pair limited run and let us know how these rank among the autumn’s best seasonal looks.
