Thanks to early connections with Lil’ Wayne and a roster that includes guys like Chad Muska and the Lizard King, Supra is in possession of what’s likely the most rebellious brand image in the industry. Ironic, then, to see them color this latest Supra Vaider release in the style of a youth service organization. A similar juxtaposition is at work on the ‘Scout’ Vaider Mid, a khaki canvas design whose red lining is equivalent to a Boy Scout’s neckerchief. Their clean blocking reflects the makeover skateboarding has undergone in recent years; do these more ‘mature’ styles catch your eye more than the Crown brand’s wilder fare? The Supra Vaider is second only to the Skytop when it comes to seniority and number of colorways issued, this Dunk-inspired design now entering its fifth year of service for a brand to whom that represents nearly an entire lifetime. This latest design shows how they’ve learned to adapt to the times, this new navy waxed suede construction offering the ‘dipped’ look with Supra’s signature double foxing stripe removed in favor of the cleanest of all two-tone blocking patterns. Aside from its Martin Luther King special edition last month, the Supra Vaider‘s been keeping a low profile in 2012, so it’s good to finally start to see more colorways releasing on one of the Crown brand’s foundational silhouettes. This new edition comes through with a crisp two-tone design highlighted by an all-charcoal grey suede upper that features royal blue accents including the SUPRAFOAM cupsole for an ice cold finished product that’d be even frostier if you could find a pair of baby blue laces to swap in. Click through if you need to see these from a few other angles before you buy, then grab them straight from the Supra e-store.

Supra sent out its spring season Vaider Low colorways last week, and though we saw a Martin Luther King-themed release in January, the original midtop silhouette has been all but absent. Perhaps that’s because it’s being reserved for special themed colorways like this new Supra Vaider ’All-Star’, a first for this skateboarding brand in their half-decade shaking up the game. The way red, white and blue are blocked on this pair scream old school uniforms right down to the vulcanized sole, while basketball graphics on the tongue tag and insoles remind you this isn’t another July 4th-themed drop. They might not be as elaborate as Nike Basketball’s 2012 NBA All-Star efforts, but it is intriguing to imagine more releases like these commemorating high points in the sporting calendar; will you vote them into your starting lineup with a purchase from Supra?

It’s not as singularly identified with the brand like the Skytop, but the Vaider has been along for much of Supra’s ride to respectability. Perhaps it’s this OG sensibility that prevents this latest trio of Supra Vaider Low releases from needing a theme or holiday to inspire their coloring, because these three are crafted in the style of some of the best skate shoes from two decades ago. With two in suede and the navy pair offering the uniquely textured Raptor TUF material, these simply-blocked lowtop hearken back to skateboarding’s classic era with the kind of timeless style that’ll move units as long as griptape sticks to plyboard. Click through to see each pair up close, then grab yours straight from Supra.

These new black and gold Supra Vaider Mids aren’t slated for a February release for BHM, but rather, they’ve already been unleashed in advance of the upcoming celebration of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s birthday. These are especially crisp in their Raptor TUF uppers thanks to a matching black vulc sole; are they instantly among Supra’s best holiday-themed sneakers so far? He has a higher profile than all but the very top of Supra‘s roster thanks to owning the DGK label, but Stevie Williams’ first Supra signature sneakers are special colorways instead of his own personal pro model. The Supra Vaider Mid has released in three Stevie-selected colorups, the final of which is this purple cracked leather getup whose tonal upper design adds a black sockliner just in time for Jimmer Fredette’s Sacramento Kings debut. Will these appeal to skaters and sneakerheads outside the California capital? If so, you’ll find them at select skate shops around the country along with the other two Stevie Williams Vaiders.

Miami’s professional basketball team hasn’t been united since early in the 2011 NBA Finals, so Supra’s looking to fill in the gap with a little Heat of their own this winter. Supra’s Hot Pack adds the kind of black and yellow trim to a trio of red uppers you might expect from a Nike LeBron PE, but all three of these are skate silhouettes with major casual appeal. The Supra Vaider Mid, Cuttler and Vaider Low are each cast in an aggressive shade of canvas and has us wondering how long the crown brand can wait before we see something similar, but with green hits for Christmas. Check out the Hot Pack’s ‘Big Three’ after the jump and then look for them at Supra dealers worldwide.
