It’s crazy to think that someone so intimately involved with the building of a brand would only design one of its sneaker releases in four years, but that’s a fact about The Hundreds’ Ben Shenassafar. A man whose vision earned him a spot in Inc’s top 30 entrepreneurs under 30 list a few years back authors his second sneaker colorup today, as the ‘Ben Hundreds’ Hundreds Scully nudges closer to golden era Nike with its speckle-soled Chicago Bulls palette. The old school runner has a bit of NSW Lunar remake to it and you can see more angles after the jump, then look out for a limited 100-pair run later this month.

Los Angeles’ The Hundreds teased us a while back with their most impressive sneaker lookbook to date, and now a few of those pairs are ready to join some new designs at retail. The Hundreds no longer insists that their kicks be called ‘footware’, but familiar designs like the Johnson Mid and Riley High, as well as the Scully runner should connect longtime fans to the bomb brand’s short yet rich legacy. The Hundreds’ Footware Collection has been building momentum and expanding its offerings for about four years now, their latest collection the most impressive yet in terms of both breadth and presentation. This new lookbook depicting models ranging from the standby Hundreds Valenzuela to the new Riley hightop continues to offer simple yet stylish nods to the heritage of American athletic footwear, and it seems like all of them have been crafted in suede for that soft yet slightly rugged look. The Hundreds is huge. That’s the tagline from the bomb brand’s Fall 2011 collection, a set of apparel and footwear that’s bigger than ever before thanks to new items like the model pictured above. The Hundreds Scully offers a lifestyle friendly take on classic running aesthetics, this ‘Mint N’ Chip’ colorway clearly themed after mint chocolate chip ice cream. And while its speckled sections clearly reference Oreos, the brand’s connection to the streetwear scene will likely lead to some comparing these to Diamond Supply Co.’s signature ‘Tiffany’ colorway. Either way, it’s a tasty treat, and the 100-pair limited run will be available at select retailers starting this Sunday, July 17th, so keep reading for additional pics and release info.
