The latest movement in the NBA athlete/brand mill zeroes in on New York City and booming athletic footwear brand Under Armour. Raymond Felton, who returned to the Knicks after being traded away for his current teammate Carmelo Anthony, is enjoying a fine season as the team’s point guard, and after some time away from the court due to injury, Ray will return to the roster for the Knicks as an official Under Armour athlete. Felton’s been wearing UA hoop shoes throughout the season, but with the official announcement of a multi-year partnership coming today, expect a ton of brightly-colored PEs for the rest of the season. – like this UA Micro G Torch.

The University of Maryland and Northwestern University will face off against each other for the first time in the Big Ten/ACC Challenge. The Under Armour Micro G Charge BB, Spine Bionic, and Micro G Torch all feature this incredible Purple/Red colorway, with the Charge BB getting an added punch with the translucent orange outsole. These Under Armour models will be worn by both the Maryland and Northwestern players, so look out for ‘em on-court if you’re catching the game tonight.
