Has UNDFTD become to go-to U.S.-based partner for great sneaker collaborations? Their iconic strike-through tally logo has become a mainstream symbol of urban lifestyle – particularly in footwear – and this upcoming release in partnership with A Bathing Ape and adidas Originals further proves that UNDFTD is the undisputed leader for these sorts of co-op designs. Using the adidas Campus as the base, UNDFTD and Bape make their marks with the proper gold-foil logo-ing on the heel with A Bathing Ape’s much-duplicated camouflage print on the interior lining as well as the tongue. A far more ‘casual’ package than the trail-inspired ZX 5000 that’s part of this Pack, the Bape x UNDFTD x adidas Campus is set for a release on October 26th. More of the Campus just below, so stay tuned for another detailed look of the ZX leg of this set and we’ll keep you updated on other developments.

A Bathing Ape and Undefeated were both involved when adidas Originals issued their ‘B-Sides’ Collection last summer in tribute to some of the ’00s best Three Stripes collabos.  This time, Bape and UNDFTD see their common military influences come to life on a joint project, as The Brand with The Three Stripes resurrects one of its classic premium running silhouettes for its first release in a good while.  The Bape x UNFTD x adidas ZX 5000 makes a strong first impression with olive and tan suedes accenting a quintessential Bape camo print along with GIJoe-ish Stripes and a white/gum sole setup to finish off this all-American hero.  Expect them at retailers in soon along with more from the Bathing Ape x Undefeated FW12 capsule, and stick with Sneaker News for release info.

When the more UNDFTD influenced half of this pack arrived its inspiration was fairly easy to spot, the ULCA Bruins colors being particularly relevant what with the NCAA football season just getting started. And while we originally had the more Parisian pair pegged as a general homage to La MJC and colette’s home country of France it turns out the aim is a bit more specific, the stripes in particular pointing to a football team of an entirely different nature: soccer club Paris St Germain. Click through with us for the latest look at this New Balance MT580 that has had quite a few hands in its design and stay tuned for word on their release as soon as it pops up.

While UNDFTD had their fun on the New Balance 1500 in this big name collabo pack painting it with some local colors, the New Balance MT580 from the set is held down by the French folks involved. The sneaker dons a deep red and blue treatment for the mostly suede upper, along white some white scattered around the edges to run the gamut of France’s flag. Click through with us to check out the detailed photos we’ve got lined up and stick with Sneaker News to figure out when both of the styles from the UNDFTD x LaMJC x colette x New Balance collection will make their way to shelves.

While the first sneaker we caught wind of from the upcoming La MJC x UNDFTD x colette pack was a little bit more French leaning in terms of the colors used, the New Balance 1500 from the project gets a much more stateside look, painted with the familiar combo of the UCLA Bruins. That’s not to say that the French partners involved don’t have their influence on the model, La MJC’s work can be seen on the insole and the sky blue suede on the upper is rather similar to the tone most frequently associated with Parisian powerhouse colette. Click through with us to check out the latest shots from this massive team up and let us know which of the La MJC x UNDFTD x colette x New Balance ‘UCLA’ pack you’re feeling more.

Classics Revisited: Nike Dunk Low Pro B “Smurf” (1999)

smurf nike dunk lows Classics Revisited: Nike Dunk Low Pro B Smurf (1999)

Nike Skateboarding is still going ten years strong, and perhaps the original Dunk Low Pro B deserves all the credit. Truth is, Nike has tried to elbow into the Skateboarding realm three times over the years, failing on the first two tries. It was only until the first official series of Nike SB in 2002 that it gained any steam, but in 1999, Nike had already released a similar variation of the Dunk Low that suited the needs of skaters. Going back to the 80′s, the Dunk and Air Jordan 1 were widely popular in the skating community, so why not make the Dunk into a skate shoe? The Pro B was born, built with durable suede uppers, gum outsoles for increased traction and board feel, and a fattened tongue for that added substance that skaters find useful in their shoes. Before Nike SB became ‘a thing’, the Nike Dunk Low Pro B was becoming a cult-hit of sorts, leading Nike to release more Pro B colorways in the following years at select retailers. Some of the Pro B releases carry as much weight as the earliest Nike SB releases, with the Smurfs owning the role as the ‘OG’ of the short-lived Dunk Low Pro B family.
