Most of Vans’ collaborations involve either relevant partner brands or skateboarders.  Here’s one that gives one of the best skate photographers a new platform to express his view of the world of griptape.  The Anthony Acosta x Vans Authentic Pro is a super clean mix of dark navy suede and canvas with a pristine white Waffle sole and multicolor laces that tie in the brown branding tags.  There’s a blurry lights photo print on the UltraCush insoles that has a Vans logo in its short focus, and you’ll be able to snap a pic of yourself in them to post on social media with pairs arriving at retailers soon.

Dave’s Quality Meat is a longtime partner with Vans; the two even have two shared retail locations called The General.  The respect for tradition reflected in that name also comes out in their latest collaboration, which utilizes Off the Wall’s oldest silhouette and a classic material.  But it’s the application of the namesake stuff in the DQM x Vans ‘Herringbone Twill’ Authentic Pack that sets them apart.  These three use the HBT uniform material introduced in World War II, dividing its appearance into jungle, desert and ocean looks.  Check out the whole set in more photos below, then get ready when DQM’s HBT Authentics drop on Friday, November 15th.

Animal prints are one of today’s hottest trends, with just about every shoe out there showing up in some pattern inspired by a friendly zoo creature.  The bravest implementations have mixed multiple animals, as in the case of atmos’ ‘Animal Camo’ Air Max 1s.  Anticipating that the prevalence of animal stuff means we can handle more is this new Vans Authentic Lo Pro, which combines zebra stripes and cheetah spots, but blends them nicely by way of soft blue tones marbling the upper.  It’s only going to get crazier from here, but you can keep up with the leading edge with a pair of these now from Titolo.

vans hiker pack holiday 20131 Vans Hiker Pack Holiday 2013

We’re pretty sure that when the Van Doren brothers founded their now ubiquitous footwear label Vans, they didn’t expect that anyone would eventually be hiking in the shoes. Then again, they probably couldn’t have predicted that the imprint would go on to be one of the strongest and longest standing brands on the market. This latest “Hiker Pack” from them includes the Vans Half Cab and the Vans Authentic. They’re still fine for skating, as the hiker designation here mostly comes from the materials they borrow from more traiditional outwear boots and the like. See the sneakers in better detail after the click and watch for them to release this October at select Vans stockists.

It turns out the Vans California collection “Tribe Pack” is just a little bit deeper than we initially thought. Included in the pack are three separate sneakers, this new set of images revealign the inclusion of the Vans Chukka in the range. That pair ends up as the only one to let up on the patterns just a bit as far as the upper is concerned-the sneakers break to a black suede for the vamp and that lining that extends around the collar. Vans have ramped up their patterned output of late, notable releases including the latest Kenzo collaboration and drops from Liberty with new ones following soon.  Here’s an in-house duo from the California collection that applies the same colorful yet neutral weave to the Vans Authentic and Slip-On, as the ‘Tribe Pack’ hints at the kind of looks introduced by indigenous cultures.  Look through photos of both of them below so you can decide which of the marshmellow-soled pairs to pick, then grab your selection at skate shops like MIA.
