Absent for over three years from the regular Off the Wall rotation, Vans resurrected their Buffalo Boot this year, and now with this upcoming release, three-quarters of the recent styles are collaborations. Joining the Knoll Textiles edition in that group are two new Vans Vault Buffalo Boot LXes crafted by Montebelluna’s Diemme Footwear, there in their Italian homeland. Formerly a vulc-soled design, these new Buffalo Boots take inspiration from Diemme’s Roccia Vet silo, adding both a rugged new bottom and extra height up top, and they’ll be arriving in spring along with “more Vault projects with Diemme,” so have a closer look below and be sure to stick with Sneaker News for updates.

Vans has kept the Buffalo Boot locked up since last winter, but with nasty weather settling in just about everywhere, it’s time for Off the Wall to expand its winter-ready arsenal. The California Collection’s Vans Buffalo Boot ‘Vintage’ pack brings together a couple of earthy colorups whose suede uppers add a rugged twist by way of a honeycomb-woven ballistic nylon on the underlay. You can choose between a wheat-ish style and one in olive with purple laces, both atop white waffle soles, and both are depicted in more photos below. Nike Sportswear has had some memorable collaborations in recent years with companies like Maharam and Liberty of London that are world renown for their signature fabrics, and now here’s something similar with an Off the Wall twist. The Knoll Textiles x Vans Vault Buffalo Boot is now the third collaboration between the world’s top skate brand and the workplace furnisher, these new drops utilzing a similar material blocking pattern we’d seen on earlier releases. It’s all about texture with these, perforated suede giving way to a grainy material that resembles waxed canvas allowing for some nice tonal depth on the navy and grey designs.
