Noted British sneaker supplier Offspring collaborated with Vans a little over a year ago on two low-key Era CA colorups and now have five different exclusives spread across two different classic silos.  The Vans ‘Color Pop’ pack includes tonally-piped Chukkas on the eve of their 45th birthday and a duo of Sk8-His, a style that itself is approaching the big 3-5.  Click through to see how the leather laces (and heel tabs on the Chukkas) give these rich suede designs an extra boost and expect them in stock at Offspring in the coming weeks.

They’ve done more with leopard spots in recent months, but during a year as heavy on animal prints and patterns in general as 2012, there’s no way Vans would just give up on one of the cornerstone looks.  The latest Vans Chukka comes full circle after the unique Kenzo collabos, multicolor feline prints and more, opting for the classic cheetah rosette in traditional organic colors, as framed by a white-stitched black suede.  Leather laces finish off the look nicely, which you can see from a bunch more angles below before buying at retailers like Shelta.

Just like the boat shoe, Vans mastered the chukka silhouette before most sneaker brands had even considered the value of such a traditional design.  Their latest efforts for the holiday season see the time-tested lines blend suede with canvas and a contrasting lace as the Vans Chukka Boot returns in wine and black/toffee colorups just in time for the holiday season.  These two styles’ use of different laces gets your mind going on which other possibilities might be swapped in, so prime your imagination with more photos below and find these at select retailers today.

Vans’ titular sponsorship of the Warped Tour over the past eighteen years has furthered the brand’s association to punk rock and its descendant genres, but everybody loves a good ballad every now and again.  Taking a page from James Taylor instead of Bad Brains, the Vans California Chukka Decon CA ’Guitar Strap’ pack brings forth two suede styles featuring heel stripes borrowed from the patterning you’d expect to see attached to the buttons on a vintage acoustic.  Part of the Holiday 2012 collection, these will be available at Vans California retailers shortly and you can see both pigskin suede colorups in greater detail after the jump.

Vans California Chukka “Guate”

Sneaker packs and other nicknames offer a helpful way of remembering our favorite releases, but there are a select few instances when the nomenclature just adds to the confusion.  Somewhere in the middle is a release like Vans California’s latest, a model whose name does indeed describe its construction, but was also used earlier this year on another style.  And to add to the confusion the Vans California Chukka ’Guate’ utilizes a different pattern altogether from June’s ‘Guate Stripe’ Authentic release, though both do indeed accurately reflect the look of traditional South American loomworks.  This one’s on tap for a fourth quarter release and you can see more after the jump below; how do they compare to the impressive range of patterned styles we’ve seen from Off the Wall this year (or last year’s ‘Nordic’ Chukka CA, for that matter)?

Sneakerheads have long recognized Tokyo as one of the world’s key centers of influence, and now this new trio from the brand most singularly associated with California, USA shines light on a couple of other Japanese cities as well.  The Vans “City Pack” brings together four-colored corduroy looks on the Vans Slip-On (Sendai), Era (Hakata) and Chukka Boot (Tokyo), each blocked in a similar asymmetrical style.  Each pair’s insoles and box note their city along with the Vans’ classic ‘Red Tab’-ish fabric tags, and you can see them all after the jump below (which might be the only time, given the limited overseas availability).

supreme x vans fall 2012 Supreme x Vans Fall 2012 Collection

It turns out Supreme has been even busier than we thought as far as current collabs go, their pending Nike Air Force 1 release being joined by this, a new set of Vans releases including four pairs of the Vans Chukka and four more of the Vans Old Skool. Each sneaker features a similar suede upper with some metallic touches along the side swipe and back tabs, a theme that almost looks like a reprisal of their approach with the Bruin a few years back. Hit the jump for a full look at the Supreme x Vans ‘Metallic Pack’ and keep in mind that the collection will drop at the NY, LA, London, and online shops on September 13th and the London spot on the 15th.
