Arriving perhaps as a return volley after the DC x Converse collection is this new team up from Marvel Comics and Vans. Ironman and Spiderman will both get their own sneakers in the set, accompanied by a couple Avengers flavored pairs that bring the whole team into the mix. The collection includes a good number of models: the Vans Slip-On, Vans Sk8-Hi, Vans Classic, and Vans Era will all be outfitted with these crazy superhero looks. 2012 was a year heavy with camo prints, sneakers and just about every other item imaginable coming in no shortage of variations on those military patterns. It’s going down again, Hawaiin style this time courtesy of the folks at Vans. Pictured is the Vans Classic from the so-cllaed ‘Aloha Camo’ pack (we’ve also seen ‘Hula Camo’ so no word yet on which is official), which plants a palm tree approach to the print across the upper. Hong Kong’s own CLOT hops in bed with the Off the Wall team next, prepping for the release of four Vans styles playing off their “Tribesmen” theme for the season. The three Vans Era looks from the group sport weathered canvas up top, with the Vans Slip On skips that for a heavily woven upper that pushes the envelope as far as this staple silo goes. It’s kinda like I & I Survived with this latest collection from Off the Wall, but despite the rastafied foxing band, this is not another collaborations with Bad Brains. But there’s little doubting the DC dreadheads would love this new Vans Classic Hemp Pack, a collection of classic silhouettes done with woven hemp uppers and the aforementioned tri-colored wraparound. Both the Authentic and 106 come with black woven hemp uppers (white and black soles, respectively), while the Slip-On goes for a more traditional beige upper plus a delicious gum bottom.
