That wasn’t too long a wait, was it? This new group from the Vans LXVI sub-label is already available. The set includes five separate sneakers all dipped in the same military olive tones and camo look. Mind you this isn’t one of those all over camo groups, for the most part the Vans sneakers included keep that print toned down, with the Vans LXVI Secant and the Vans LXVI Graph going the furthest down that road. See the entire Vans LXVI “Multicam Pack” right after the jump and purchase any of the pictured pairs from Vans now.

Commemorating the brand’s 1966 birthdate, the Vans LXVI collection was established this summer as a tech-oriented answer to some of Off the Wall’s best-loved classics. Following up on that FA12 debut is the Holiday 2012 collection featuring new colorways for each style plus a new winter-ready boot design. The Vans LXVI Module is described as “An authentic hiker from the action sport original,” a fairly poetic tagline that refers to both the boot’s plimsoll-ish toe and the fact that brave dudes were climbing mountains thousands of years before the Roller Derbys, Powells and Alien Workshops of the world redefined ‘extreme’. They’re joined by new colorups for the Graph, Inscribe, Ortho, Secant and Variable, and all are both depicted below in additional images and available now straight from Vans.

Vans says their new “Graph blends our classic Era design language with cutting edge construction techniques & modern materials,” though some sneakerheads have noted it might be closer to an Era x Old Skool hybrid. That assertion has even more credence when you examine how the classic Era plimsoll look has been applied to this fellow LXVI design to an even greater degree. In fact, the tagline for the new Vans Variable is ‘Modernized Era styling,’ a reference to the fact that this relatively traditional LXVI build is in fact the closest thing to a classic Off the Wall design that we’ve seen from this new tech-oriented capsule. The Variable’s split rear means we can suggest even more color and material combinations than classic CVOs like the Era, so click through to see what’s in store and grab yours straight from Vans.
