Adding a fleece sockliner is a quick way to make any sneaker feel warmer in time for winter, and Vans knows this from experience. Plenty of Off the Wall silhouettes have been treated to fleece fillings, and two more take the plunge this winter, joining a few other water-resistant pig suede styles as part of the Vans Classics ‘Cold Weather’ pack. The Vans Era and Mid Skool ’77 get the fuzzy treatment while the 106 Vulc and Switchback opt for a more traditional build that still has the same moisture-repellent properties. Let us know which style works best after you’ve seen them all below, then grab yours straight from Vans.

The classic Vans model pictured above got its name from being a midtop version of the Old Skool, but there’s more than one longstanding footwear tradition at play in this latest drop. The Vans Vault Mid Skool ’77 LX has never looked better than in this Italian leather duo. Most of the shoe is actually canvas, but it’s a premium grade and serves as a satisfying contrast to the buttery smooth overlay elements. Click through so you can see more images of black/blue and wine/sand colorways, let us know which came out better and grab yours from Off the Wall retailers like Hot Rod. via N-SB

When the Vans DQM General opened in New York this September, it represented a first in America, but a significant second for each of the respective brands. For Vans, it was the second collaborative retail location they opened, following the OTH location in Montreal, and for DQM, their second retail spot overall after the original Dave’s Quality Meat in New York’s East Village. Add a bit of fuzzy math into the mix and you get The General’s first collabo release with 96 pairs each spread across three models. The DQM x Vans ’First Issue’ pack consists of natually tanned monochromatic vegetarian leather takes on the Era, Chukka Decon and Mid Skool ’77, and you can see each of them in more images after the jump. These’ll be out for Black Friday, and you can expect Sneaker News to reiterate that phrase for a variety of additional releases between now and then, so be sure to check back with us for more updates. via SF

Vans California is a brand that on the surface would engender feelings of warm summers, by its previous releases is prepared for some serious chillin’ whenever and wherever, and from its most recent previews, plans on spending most of its time closer to the Sierra Nevada than the Pacific coast. The Switchback boots we just saw were no surprise in terms of both quality and ruggedness, but applying that second quality to the new Vans California Mid Skool ’77 requires adding D-ring eyelets and corded laces along with the ’Hiker Pack’ distinction. Pairs in black, Bison feature contrasts on those laces while the Silver Mink edition goes tonal but adds shearling to the sockliner for a warm and cozy feel. Check out the entire set and let us know what you think by clicking on the jump below. via FNG

Much of Vans’ footwear catalog is comprised of classic models born in the brand’s early days, so you could argue that almost anything they put out has a vintage feel to it. So to really get point across with the Vans Vault Vintage Pack, Off the Wall chose to adorn two of its favorite lowtops in a rich tumbled leather that insinuates careful aging. The Vans Vault Mid Skool ’77 and 46 LX will both drop soon in black/yellow and burgundy/white colorways, so click through to see images of each pair and stick with Sneaker News for word on their availability. via FNG
