The stonewashed look is one that comes in and out of style with regards to its explicit use on jeans, but when it comes to select applications, this faded style is one that you can keep in your rotation into perpituity.  Take for example this new ‘Washed Canvas’ pack from Vans Classics for the fall season: The Vans Authentic and Slip-On have each been crafted in three colors that all look like they’re pre-Hipstamatic’d, a half-dozen styles that offer a bit of color while also softening the impact of vibrant pieces elsewhere in your wardrobe.  Have a look after the jump and stick with Sneaker News for the latest.  via FNG

Vans Vault Slip-On “Nomad Rand”

Vans is known, among other contributions to the skateboarding canon, for their signature Waffle vulcanized sole, which most often appears in white with a black pinstripe.  That foxing band has been stripped out on several recent releases in favor of a ‘cleaner’ sole, though this new Vans Vault Slip-On ‘Nomad Rand’ has a little something to stand out.  The nickname refers to a quilted strip stitched around the union of sole and upper, and the contrasting suede looks great against an oxford-woven upper in blue, tan or grey.  Check out all three pairs after the jump, let us know which looks best and find these at Vans Vault retailers this month.  via FNG

Metallica x Vans Classic “Kill ‘Em All” Pack

vans classic metallica 570x379 Metallica x Vans Classic Kill Em All Pack

Just over three years ago, the greatest heavy metal band of all-time (especially in terms of album sales) collaborated with Converse on a duo of Chuck Taylor hightops.  That 2009 two-pack featured album art from Ride the Lightning in celebration of its 25th anniversary along with another covered in an early Pushead drawing.  We see an interesting bit of ‘Lincoln and Kennedy’ here as a few years later, on the precipice of Kill ‘Em All‘s 30th birthday and the second Pushead x Nike SB collaboration, the Metallica x Vans Classic pack brings us the closest thing Vans has to an All Star (the Sk8-Hi) along with a Slip-On, both featuring bloody hammers from the KEA album art.  Check them out in greater detail after the jump and stick with Sneaker News for next summer’s release info.  via EU Kicks

One hit wonders The Cardigans struck gold with the mid/late-’90s single ‘Lovefool’, and while many of that era’s musical memes have proven obsolete, the desire to have someone ‘Love Me’ remains one of the core human drives.  This fact isn’t lost on New York-based artist Curtis Kulig, whose iconic tagline has shown up as a key component of this new collaboration with Vans.  The Curtis Kulig x Vans Sk8-Hi offers a black, red and white build totally different from the checkerboard Slip-Ons or text-patterned Authentics in those same colors, and while they’re scheduled to arrive in the first half of next year, one can’t help but feel like these would make a heartwarming Valentine’s Day drop.  Check them out in greater detail below and stick with Sneaker News for US release info.  via HS

If instead of features like ‘NBA Feet’ and ‘Classics Revisited’ Sneaker News was in the habit of posting advice animals memes, we’d have no choice but to nominate the Van Doren brothers collectively as Good Guy Greg(s).  Their namesake Van Doren Pack is a celebration of how far Paul and the dearly departed James’ humble shoe company has come, yet the emphasis is clearly on the brand’s loyal fanbase.  Classic patterns that encapsulate the essence of some of Vans’ high points made available once again at affordable prices mean that these will be moving quickly, so have a look at each pair after the jump, then find yours at Off the Wlal retailers like DQM.

When the Van Doren brothers opened their namesake rubber concern in Anaheim some forty-six years ago, they would take orders in the morning, spend the day making those shoes and have them ready for customers by the afternoon.  The success of the original #44 lowtop (later renamed Authentic) was strong enough to warrant a laceless variant, and the iconic Slip-On was born.  Now, coming up for June 2012 is a four-pack of ‘OG’ Vans Vault Slip-Ons, canvas lowtops ranging from solid canvas uppers to Off the Wall’s signature checkerboard print.  Click through and you’ll be able to see each pair, and be sure to check back with Sneaker News for release info.  via FNG

Paul Van Doren’s namesake sneaker company has risen from humble beginnings in 1966 and plenty of hurdles along the way to become the world’s top skateboarding brand.  Now, some forty-five years later, Off the Wall celebrates their founder with a pack that’s even more connected to his name.  The Vans Van Doren Series re-issues a run of classic prints from the ’80s and ’90s as seen on the ever-popular silhouettes that’s kept this brand popular for so long.  Models like the Vans Sk8-Hi, Era and Slip-On come with intricate floral and native patterns as well as a Paul-ized heel badge; which one turned out to be the best looking after you had a chance to see them all on the other side?  via FNG

It’s something you’ll recognize as a fan of Sanrio’s signature character, and though its role as one of the most oft-licensed likenesses in the world of children’s entertainment makes this seem as obvious as  sociology 101, Hello Kitty has still managed to impress with a huge range of sneaker collaborations.  Brands including Asics, Reebok and Ubiq have all applied cartoonish embellishments to their designs in much the same way that this new Hello Kitty x Vans collection for summer.  Models including the Vans Sk8-Hi, Slip-On and Authentic have all ben covered in a variety of prints, and you can see the entire set after the jump before they arrive at select retailers June 1st.  via nitro:licious
