The Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG in black/metallic gold definitely stands as the hardest to track down of Air Jordan 1 retro releases in 2013. With that being said, it’s good to see the sneakers getting some wear rather than getting tucked away in closet. Wiz Khalifa is the one putting in work in this instance, showing up to LAX with the patent leather shoes on feet. Continue reading to see the full photos of Wiz Khalifa in this limited Air Jordan 1 release and stay tuned to see whether or not any other celebs recently added them to their rotation.

If you happen to catch Wiz Khalifa in a pair of Air Jordan’s chances are it’s going to be an original colorway, with all of the times we’ve featured him in this space (save for that censored black out pair) showing off some pair that MJ rocked during the OG run of the sneakers. This time is no different, with the Taylor Gang head honcho lacing up in the Air Jordan VIII ‘Aqua’ for his recent Complex cover story. Click through with us to get a look at this celebrity sneaker sighting that has Wiz in one of his more basic outfits following the public reaction to his O.N.I.F.C. album cover and let us know what you think in the comments below.

Wiz Khalifa caught quite a bit of flack this week upon the revelation of his latest album cover, with a good number of folks taking to Twitter to call out the rapper on his Cruella de Vil swag. His appearance on Chelsea Lately soon thereafter almost seemed like a bit of damage control, Wiz popping up on the show with a straightforward fit featuring some sneaks that are pretty hard to hate on for even the saltiest of Internet goons: the Air Jordan 1 ‘Bred’. Click through with us to check out the sit down interview and let of us know if this is the Wiz Khalifa you prefer.

Wiz Khalifa is the subject of one of the recent ‘Bing Originals’ featurettes by Bing.com, portraying a fitting declaration of Wiz’s personal style and attitude. The tall and spindly hip-hop artist certainly has his own beat of fashion, going from high-end shoes and leather jackets to a snapback and Air Jordans (a range that this video captures perfectly). In this video, we see Wiz in his most rudimentary and relatable form – playing ball at the park with sweats and what appear to be Air Jordans; while the silhouette clearly determines the shoes to be the Air Jordan VI, the question remains which colorway these could be. All signs point to a customized version of the ‘Lakers‘ edition with the soles and midsoles blacked out, although they could always be a sample since there doesn’t seem to be any sign of 3M. Judging by the blacked-out logos on the Charcoal Air Jordan IX’s seen on Wiz’s b-ball opponent, these are likely the result of a branding/logo issue rather than a exposé on a celeb wearing fake Jordans, because Wiz’s Air Jordan rotation has been one of the more impressive ones we’ve seen. We’ve got some more looks at these blackout Air Jordan VI’s, as well as the full video below, so take a look and let us know what you think.

Wiz Khalifa has popped up a number of times this year in our Celebrity Feet feature, and an interesting trend shows up if you scroll through the archives. When it comes to Jordans, he has been pretty consistent in rocking only OG colorways. He keeps that up here Air Jordan VIII ‘Aqua’, undoubtedly the most popular colorway of the eighth entry in the legacy series. Of course we’d be remiss to not point out Uncle Snoop’s footwear as well, who is seen rocking a classic black and white pair of shelltoe’d adidas with the pants to match. Let us know in the comments below who reigns supreme in this fashion fight between the old school and new school of rappers. via SR.

Most of the gentlemen featured in this edition of Celebrity Feet have been known to rock heat on the regular, so what happens when you get them all in the same room? Something of an arms-race it turns out, with each sneakerhead bringing out their big guns for the 2011 B.E.T. Hip Hop Awards this past weekend in Atlanta. You can make your own judgements on who came out on top based on the full set of pics after the jump, but we’re tipping our hat to the four dudes above. Amare Stoudemire showed up in his Nike Air Max Sweep Thru PE’s, Pill went for the just released Nike Air Total Foamposite Max, Big K.R.I.T. stuck with a classic in the Air Jordan XI Concord, and the ever unpredictable Soulja Boy opted for the high-end in his Louis Vuitton Dons.
