As if the Air Jordan line wasn’t already nostalgia inducing enough, they’re bringing in another group of heroes you may remember from your childhood from a separate category of sporting. That’s right, that WWF Pack for the Jordan Aero Flight is finally starting to arrive, with the first pair to make its way to retailers being the ‘Macho Man’. Up next for tribute is Jake the Snake, his persona being applied quite literally thanks to the various reptilian skinned panels on the upper. Click through with us to get a full look and stay tuned to Sneaker News for the October release of this WWF pack pair.

Before we get into this, let’s take a timeout and snap a Slim Jim for the fallen WWF star “Macho Man” Randy Savage. The latest way in which his legacy will live on is on the all new Jordan Aero Flight, a silhouette that’s prepped to hit stores in the reasonably deep WWF pack. The pair shown pays homage to some of Macho Man’s wilder apparel, grabbing at a purple and pink checkered pattern for a few of the upper sections. Stay with us after the jump for a full gallery of photos and keep in mind that you can grab this first Jordan Aero Flight colorway from the WWF lineup right now at Jimmy Jazz.

Outside of Michael Jordan, were there any other sports stars that matched the level of stardom and popularity as the WWF wrestlers in the 80′s and 90′s? You should check your pulse if you’re not excited by wrestling of that era because pro wrestling was one of those acceptable guilty pleasures that brought us so much entertainment and drama. This upcoming Holiday 2012 pack features the all-new Jordan Aero Flight, but it’s also used as a vessel of tribute to some of the most electrifying men in sports entertainment history, using signature graphics and details to represent memorable wrestlers of the past. Below, we have a look at versions inspired by Jake The Snake Roberts, Legion of Doom, a red/yellow version that looks like a possible Hulk Hogan nod and a fourth that represents another superstar wrestler (likely Randy Savage or the Ultimate Warrior, given the pink and yellow colors). Your thoughts on this intriguing pairing? Check out the catalog preview shots of the Jordan Aero Flight ‘WWF Pack’ below and stay tuned for more info coming soon! Photos via us11
