Kevin Garnett is back in Boston, but conspicuously missing from this latest Nike retro release. Formerly his third signature sneaker, the Air Garnett III is now simply the Nike Air 3, and this edition is a clear throwback to KG’s days of prowling the paint in Minneapolis’ Target Center. As with the black pair and the upcoming Flightposite II LE retro, all Garnett and OBF-related details have been removed to avoid any legal squabbles, but the spirt of the shoe, it’s swooping side panels and gradient-bearing textile treatments are still here. Expect them at Nike Sportswear retailers in just over a month.
