The Nike Air Flight was released in 1989 during the original year of the Nike Flight line. It featured a midsole design identical to the Air Jordan IV that released in ’89, and was one of the few Nike Basketball models Jordan wore in his career. Over two decades later, we have the Nike Air Flight Classic, with a retro design that could have easily fit in with the times; it features the same Air Jordan IV/Flight ’89 midsole with a simplistic upper fitting of the early Nike Flight designs. According to SLAM, the upper is constructed with leather with a Cushlon Foam midsole. The cut-off swoosh should also remind you of the Nike Air Force Max made popular by Charles Barkley and the Michigan Fab Five. Check out these preview images of the Nike Air Flight Classic in two colorways, and stick with Sneaker News for more info regarding this throwback design. via CK.
