When NikeTown New York opened in the old P.S. 6453 building on 57th Street, the plan was to keep the store’s aesthetic something like a classic basketball arena.  With the newest decor inside, they’ve managed to bring this theme back to the future with emphasis on this weekend’s first ever World Basketball Festival.  NikeTown NYC is filled with WBF kicks, apparel and accessories, but it’s the humongous charactures of players like Kevin Durant and Yi Jianlian that’ll grab your attention from the main atrium.  Click the jump below to check out the decor including installations from Nike Basketball, Converse and Jordan Brand.  via FRESHNESS
