After a sixteen-year drought, Team USA has finally recaptured Gold in the FIBA World Championships. Boasting a perfect 9-0 record, Team USA blew by the competition and defeated Turkey in the Championship game to win the gold medal for the first time since 1994. USA’s FIBA record has been disappointing at the very least; with rosters filled with NBA Stars, Team USA placed 6th and 3rd in 2002 and 2006 respectively and revealed a chink in the American armor. The 2010 Team USA Roster was led by Kevin Durant and his teammates, who complemented his scoring acumen with rebounding, passing, and defense, came together to redeem the red, white, and blue on the FIBA stage. During the course of the entire competition, Team USA was outfitted with the Nike Hyperfuse and Nike Hyperdunk 2010, with Tyson Chandler favoring the Zoom Soldier III and Chauncey Billups and Derrick Rose representing adidas.
