One of the pioneers of the high-top basketball shoe craze is the Nike Air Revolution, the 1988 sneaker that shared a midsole design with the Air Jordan III and featured a high ankle strap and packaged in the neat orange and grey box with a Nike Air hangtag and info manual. The Nike Air Revolution High was later cut down to the mid-top and again to the low-top for ‘easier’ wear, but there’s no doubt that original version would be fit right in with today’s styling based on the popularity of Air Yeezys and Supra high-top skaters, which is why the 2008 re-issue of the Air Revolution did fairly well. The Revolution could be credited for being at the forefront of this high-top revolution of today, so how about paying tribute in the right way?
