The Air Jordan VIII was the last shoe Michael wore in the NBA game. That would’ve been a headline for Sneaker News, had we existed in 1993-1994, but thankfully MJ came to his senses and came back to the game and dominated for another three seasons. Going back to the shoe at hand, the Air Jordan VIII broke a number of barriers in the Air Jordan Legacy, adopting a number of design there were not seen before. The cross-instep straps, the chenille Jordan logo on the tongue, and the wacky graphic on the mudguard are all memorable features that have helped define the iconoclastic nature of the legacy. Sneaker News has been detailing some vintage OG Air Jordan gems, and this pair of original Air Jordan VIIIs in the White/Black-True Red has held up quite well in the nearly two-decades of existence. We’ve got a detailed gallery below so take a look and check out the auction from madkapitolism on eBay.
