Yesterday morning, Sneaker News unveiled the Nike x Doernbecher Freestyle VIII, which featured six Nike models colorized by six young patients at the Doernbecher Charity Hospital. The mission statement of Nike’s long-standing partnership with the hospital is to raise funds for the charity by releasing the limited edition set of sneakers, and with the public anointing of the Air Jordan installment of each collection, Isaiah Scott’s Air Jordan IV design was the the most anticipated of the bunch. Here we have a detailed look at Scott’s design; inspired by the comic-book superhero Superman, Isaiah chose the famous chest logo for the tongue and included a Mars-like silhouette of himself on the upper ankle. The release date for the Air Jordan IV Doernbecher as well as the entire Doernbecher Freestyle VIII collection is currently set at November 5th, 2011, with a retail price of $175. Check out the additional shots below and stay tuned to Sneaker News for more detailed images of the entire Nike x Doernbecher Freestyle VIII!
