At the young age of 23, Derrick Rose signed the second-most lucrative sneaker contrast in history, essentially teaming up with adidas for the rest of his career. But how did Rose and adidas arrive at this history-making point? The adidas-and-D-Rose connection began in Memphis, a team outfitted by adidas, and spilled over into the NBA when Rose was the top pick. A quick rise to stardom and an MVP award cemented his role as one of the few elite athletes in the NBA that had a signature sneaker to call his own, but prior to his collegiate years, Rose was, in fact, rocking Kobes, LeBrons, and Air Jordans. Currently, we are awaiting the official launch of the adidas adiZero Rose 3.0 while Derrick Rose works out the kinks from the frightening injury that occurred early in the NBA Playoffs (he’s coming back stronger than ever), so check out this great recap of Derrick Rose’s sneaker history and we’ll keep you updated on what’s to come for adidas and Derrick Rose.
