Jordan Brand’s deep and rich storytelling is a major reason why the label’s reached success beyond the OG colorways. The Air Jordan 6 “Slam Dunk”, inspired by the Japanese anime of the same name, is another example of this tradition of connecting stories to shoes; the enticing colorway springboards from the lead character of Slam Dunk, a basketball-centric comic that debuted in 1990.
