Burn Rubber of Detroit, MI is still remembered for their argyle-lined MT580 from 2010, and since then their string of collaborations with the NB label have continued to express indigenous colors and graphics from their hometown. Their latest partnership brings together the New Balance 572 with Vernors ginger ale soft drink, the nation’s oldest ginger ale brand that was born out of the Civil War. The green/yellow suede upper is an ode to the can’s signature colors while the woodgrain texture on the tongue and toe-box represents the wooden barrel in which James Vernor discovered the drink. Additional details include the speckling on the midsole. the translucent ginger brown outsole, and special insoles to complete the look. These will be available on the Burn Rubber web-store on November 29th, so continue on with the first look below and stay tuned for the latest.
