NBA Feet: Zach LaVine Dominates Dunk Contest in Kobe 10 “All-Star”
Zach came, he saw, he conquered. It shouldn’t come as too much of a surprise if you’ve seen highlight reels of Mr. LaVine dunking in his high school days, but nobody could’ve expected the show he put on in New York City tonight. The Timberwolves rookie displayed what are now his legendary hops with an array of complicated behind-the-back, and through-the-legs dunks that even had Vince Carter’s blessings – and he did so wearing the Kobe 10 “All-Star” to make sure the Black Mamba was well-represented despite his absence in this year’s festivities. Victor Oladipo put on a show – literally – singing Frank Sinatra in the Air Jordan 29 “Photo Reel” – before scoring a perfect 50 dunk. All in all, it was a more than surprising showing from this year’s Dunk Contest, a competition that many claimed was dead before tuning in tonight.
