Damon Dash Says His eBay Sneaker Collection Sale Isn’t His Doing

Damon Dash Not The One Selling His Sneakers

Last week we reported about Damon Dash’s insane sneaker collection from the early 2000’s hitting eBay, and now it looks like there’s more to the story than just the hip-hop mogul trying to clear out some old pairs. As it turns our Dash didn’t have anything to do with the hundreds of pairs hitting eBay, and didn’t even know they were up for auction until a few of his associates, including Cam’ron himself, let him know.

According the Dash, all of the sneakers listed were from an old storage locker that he and his managers/lawyers forgot about, which went up for auction after nobody paid the rent. The storage unit that housed the collection reportedly sold for $18,000, and now they’re all on eBay. Worth noting, the eBay seller is Shoezeum founder Jordan Geller, a well-known collector who once tried to sell off his sneaker museum for $1 million, but eventually sold pairs individually. It’s not known at this time if he was the one who purchased the storage unit, or if whoever did make the ultimate sneaker come-up just contacted Geller to help sell off the collection.
