Derrick Rose’s Next adidas Signature Shoe Set To Release On July 15th

Derrick Rose’s Next adidas Signature Shoe Set To Release On July 15th

In early 2012, adidas went all in on Derrick Rose and placed one of their biggest bets in their history – a fourteen year deal worth at least $140 million. It seemed like a sure-fire win to sign a league MVP who was barely entering his peak, but that all crumbled rather painstakingly due to a career-changing injury during the 2012 NBA Playoffs. While Rose is probably not doing much to move units of a signature shoe, the brand still needs to pump out product to not only justify that signing, but to earn back the roughly $15 million he gets paid per year.

The D Rose 9‘s soft grey upper features a sock-like construction for ultimate flexibility without sacrificing stability, and a Three Stripes graphic appears in an interesting vertical style by the heel collar, contrasting with the textured heel, midfoot, and toebox. A full-length Bounce midsole offers superior cushioning and responsiveness, and an sparkling gold outsole with Adiwear technology ensures that the shoes will continue to grip the court game after game. Look for Rose’s latest shoe to arrive on adidas.com and at adidas retailers this Sunday, July 15th, with a retail price of $140.
