Nike’s recent propensity for dressing the Air Span II and Air Max 1 in identical colorways continues, as after last month’s tonal grey two-pack, both a red/black and a blue/yellow Air Span II— perfect matches for the two Air Max 1s that were uncovered last week—have been revealed. The black/red shoe’s upper features a dark two-tone look, as a stark black on the suede overlays and midfoot swoosh provides an interesting tonal contrast with the dark oil colorway utilized on the synthetic underlays. Bright red accents arrive via the heel and small swoosh on the mudguard, and a white midsole offsets the dark upper while the red and black outsole rounds off the classic aesthetic. The blue/yellow pair offers a lighter color combo, as a combo of medium work blue and light mountain blue hit the upper, while small yellow hits offer an alpine-ready contrast and a white midsole/two-tone outsole complete the airy summertime look. Enjoy a full set of images below and expect both colors of the classic trainer to arrive on on Nike.com and at various Swoosh Brand stockists in the coming weeks.
