Nike Is Releasing Another Kobe “Grinch” Shoe

Nike Is Releasing Another Kobe “Grinch” Shoe

Kobe Bryant and Nike go way back — all the way back to 2005, to be exact. Over the Mamba’s 15-shoe history with the Swoosh Brand, the two have shifted the basketball market immeasurably, making it acceptable for hoopers to ditch their bulky high-tops for sleek low-tops that offered new tech, exemplary court feel and extensive freedom of movement. Over their collaborative lineage, one of the most memorable special makeups was undoubtedly the Kobe 6 “Grinch,” a bright green shoe that Kobe debuted on Christmas Day of 2010 in a 96-80 loss to LeBron James and the Miami Heat. Over the years, the Grinch has held a special place in the hearts of Nike lovers — both for its timely unveiling and clever inspiration — and now the festive holiday colorway is back on the Nike Mamba Rage. The value-priced team shoe features the same bright green upper as the original Grinch, while flecked red detailing bursting through the midfoot and toebox provides contrast. Bryant’s sheath logo appears on red on the tongue, and the commemorative look is competed by a black midfoot swoosh and a shaggy cloth collar — a possible nod to the creature’s green fur. Peep a full set of official images below, and head over to Nike.com now to grab for these new-jack Grinch kicks for a flat $100 USD.
