The San Antonio Spurs Get Their Own Nike Air Force 1

The San Antonio Spurs Get Their Own Nike Air Force 1

One of the biggest storylines from this NBA offseason was the tumultuous relationship between superstar Kawhi Leonard and the San Antonio Spurs. When healthy, Leonard is arguably the league’s top two-way player, but after a season full of doubt and his independent specialist going against the team doctors, the Spurs had enough and traded him to Toronto in exchange for DeMar Derozan. Starting a season for the first time since 1997 without one of their big three of Tim Duncan, Tony Parker, and Manu Ginobli, it is officially the start of a new era for Greg Popovich and Spurs basketball. However, San Antonio is still one of the most iconic and notable franchises in the league, and the Swoosh is hooking them up with their very own Air Force 1 in their honor. Designed in the same luxe style as the previously shown pairs for South Beach, and LA, this NBA-branded AF1 comes done up in a Spurs-appropriate color combination of black and white. The Association’s illustrious Jerry West logo can be seen interacting with an AF-1 stamp on its heel, while extra materials get added to this offering’s upper around its altered Swoosh and above its midsole. With the NBA set to tip-off in mid-October you can expect pair to hit shelves soon alongside a number of other NBA-friendly AF1s.
