It’s been an interesting Fall season for the Air Max 1 thus far, with the Tinker Hatfield-designed classic releasing in many a striking colorway and with many a unique embellishment. From crepe soles to Parra-esque colorways, there’s been an Air Max for any and all sneakerheads, and now a bacon-themed makeup has surfaced. Drawing clear colorway inspiration from 2004’s beloved “Bacon” Air Max 90s created by Dave Ortiz, the shoes use a seasonal wheat nubuck as the base, while red corduroy paneling appears towards the toebox and on the lower half of the midfoot. A shaggy brown suede is called upon for the uper heel and around the top lace loop, while wooly pink chenille is used on the swoosh and tongue patch to finalize the “Bacon”-inspired look. A clean sail midsole ensures all attention is focused on the upper, and a crepe sole offers a finishing flair of style. Look for these choice culinary Air Max 1s to drop on Nike.com and at Swoosh Brand stockists later this Fall, and enjoy a full set of official images below while you wait.
