Patchwork is often a difficult tooling to master, seeing quite a bit of traction in the world of high-end fashion though seeing very little love in the way of footwear. As somewhat of an extension to their FDMTL collaboration, Vans has begun slowly courting the techniques they’ve learned, weaving them throughout quite a few mainline releases. Colorful in their approach — in more ways than tonality — the Anaheim-based brand has created a collage of swatches, taking quite an unseen detour from the usually indigo-dripped kits. Now arriving along a Sk8-Hi, many swatches of bright hues find themselves stitched onto the profile of the upper, utilizing orange, pinks, reds, and blues to great effect. The right and left pair bear little resemblance to one another, dialing up the motif to a T. At a retail of $75 USD, you can grab a pair for yourself right now at Vans.com.
