adidas Skateboarding Continues The 3ST Series With New 004 Model

adidas’ 3ST series is the brand’s leading skate line, as the Three Stripes is set to roll out its fourth iteration by way of the brand new, boost-laden 3ST.004. After garnering some momentum with help from BAPE and an extensive snowboarding collection, the new .004 will be introduced in three classic color schemes, Collegiate Royal and Cloud White, Collegiate Orange and Core Black, and Cloud White and Core Black. Inspired by the brand’s “open-ended approach”, it was meant to progress the standard of skateboarding footwear while still meeting the needs of today’s riders. In an effort to achieve this goal, the Three Stripes tapped pro rider Tyshawn Jones to provide feedback critical to the sneaker’s success.

“Building off the design mentality of the 3ST family, the 3ST.004 is positioned to further progress and challenge skateboarding footwear,” Senior Footwear Designer, Scott Johnston said. “Considering that Tyshawn Jones was the muse for the project, the shoe needs to not only perform, but look iconic and stand out. The shoe incorporates classic adidas aesthetics and modern design lines to keep you looking fly in the streets.”

All three designs come equipped with a classic gum bottom sole unit, a unique, curved Three Stripes hit as well as a brand-less leather heel cap. Completed by suede upper for a slight premium touch, the 3ST.004 will be ready to ride on February 7th from adidas.com.
