Nike’s Air Max Tailwind IV Appears In Black And Wolf Grey With Volt Accents

Nike’s Air Max Tailwind IV Appears In Black And Wolf Grey With Volt Accents

With several classic colorways — and a highly anticipated Supreme collaboration — releasing in the coming months, 2019 is shaping up to be a bountiful year for Nike’s classic Air Max Tailwind IV. Now, it’s been revealed that the re-launching retro runner is also set to drop in a new palette that’s entirely appropriate for the current street style climate: black, wolf grey, and volt. The upper mostly opts to take on a stark black, letting the swooping overlays and embroidered midfoot stripes show off their style, while a pop of bright volt appears on the heel. The midsole then opts for a speckled grey look to provide contrast. The Air Max cushioning units — reminiscent of another popular silhouette from the late ’90s, the Air Max Plus — go back to black, and the outsole also opts for black, but manages to include a healthy dose of volt towards the heel. A light blue jeweled Air Max badge then rounds off the look. Check out these new Nike shoes below, and expect a release on Nike.com come May 24th with a later May 26th drop at select retailers.
