Ben Felderstein Boston-Based retailer Bodega is no stranger to creating collaborative designs with its Beantown cohort, New Balance. In the past, the two Titletown heavy hitters have added boisterous color schemes to N-Brand mainstays the likes of the 557 and the 998, but now they are kicking things up a notch with their flashy New Balance 997S. Other than adding a striking combination of purple, yellow, pink, a slue of grey shades, and more, Bodega’s design team has opted to re-work the silhouette’s toebox. Normally, the model’s suede and mesh toe boasts a conventionally smooth shape, but this new creation totes a bit sharper of a design with an extra wave somewhat liken to the revered adidas Yeezy 700 model.
While no other angles of this upcoming design are currently available, we do see the beginning of what appears to be an intriguing tongue decal. Bodega’s IG account reports that more information is coming soon, so grab a first look here and keep it locked for updates.
