These Nike Air Force 1s Are Inspired By The Toronto Blue Jays

After traversing the continental US, Nike’s City Pride pack is set to take a trip north of the border with this Toronto-inspired take on the Air Force 1 Low. Looking to the city’s beloved Blue Jays for its color palette, the shoe’s upper combines a forefoot/midfoot that uses the light powder blue from the team’s throwback uniforms with a heel that draws its rich royal blue from their current uniforms. Sail accents on the Swoosh, heel, midsole, and outsole then offer contrast. That’s not all for the baseball-themed stylings though: the tongue patch is secured with the same red stitching you’d see on a major league ball, while the green insole nods to the underbrim color that’s present on throwback baseball caps. This isn’t the first time that the Swoosh Brand called upon the diamond for City Pride inspiration — as Houston recently received an Astros-colored Air Trainer Huarache — but it’s sure to delight natives of the 6 and Jays lovers nonetheless. Check out these new Air Force 1s in detail below, and look for a Nike SNKRS release on May 3rd with a retail price of $130 USD.
