Gary Payton’s Nike Zoom GP Retro Returns With Canyon Gold Accents

Gary Payton’s Nike Zoom GP Retro Returns With Canyon Gold Accents

Originally released in 1999, Gary Payton‘s Nike Zoom GP was welcomed back with open arms when it returned for the first time ever earlier this year, and now it’s set to arrive in a colorway that features Sonics-friendly “Canyon Gold” accents. The Eric Avar-designed classic boasts an unquestionably uncommon look thanks to special details like its asymmetrical lace cover, ski boot-inspired clip lockdown system, alternating collar height, and cut-out overlays. Here, these standout pieces are all presented in a simple combination of black and white, while the aforementioned “Canyon Gold” details arrive via the embroidered trim on the lace shroud’s swoosh as well as the heel tabs. Down below, the midsole features a large carbon fiber plate and Zoom Air cushioning for a snappy and responsive feel, both on-court and off. These throwback Nike shoes are available on 7/12 for $150 USD, so take a look at the retailer list directly below to see where you can snag a pair.
